A treasure trove of over a thousand silver coins from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries was discovered in the Church of St. Andrew in Barczew, Poland. The coins were stored in a glazed ceramic cup; they filled it to the brim. It has now been presented in the Archdiocesan Museum of Warmia.

The Dutch and Romanian authorities have managed to track down one of the most valuable artefacts of the Dacia heritage. The golden helmet, an extremely rare part of Romania's national treasure, was stolen in a spectacular robbery of the Drenthe Museum in Assen, the Netherlands, where it had been temporarily loaned from Romania. Along with it, three gold bracelets were also stolen.
