At Rise Up Counseling, we provide specialized, evidence-based therapy for trauma and PTSD, OCD and anxiety disorders, couples therapy, parenting support, and executive mental health services.
We operate primarily as a private pay and out-of-network therapy practice in New Jersey. This allows us to offer extended 90-minute sessions, therapy intensives, parent workshops, and concierge-style support that often go beyond what traditional insurance models allow.
We are in-network with a limited number of select BCBS, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare plans, depending on the clinician and specific policy. Coverage varies by provider.
For clients with out-of-network benefits, we provide detailed superbills for reimbursement, and many of our clients receive partial reimbursement directly from their insurance company.
Our commitment is full transparency so you can make an informed and confident decision about investing in specialized care.

We specialize in advanced trauma therapy (EMDR and IFS), OCD treatment (ERP), Gottman Method couples therapy, parenting workshops, and extended sessions. Insurance companies often limit session length, restrict treatment models, and require diagnoses for reimbursement.
Operating primarily as a private-pay and out-of-network practice allows us to provide deeper, more individualized care without those restrictions.
Our focus is quality, depth, and meaningful progress — not high-volume, insurance-driven treatment.
Yes. Many clients use their out-of-network mental health benefits.

We are also in-network with a limited number of select BCBS, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare plans depending on clinician availability and your specific policy.
If you're unsure about your coverage, we can guide you in verifying your benefits before starting therapy.
Clients often choose private pay therapy because they want:
Private pay allows therapy to be tailored fully to your needs rather than insurance requirements.
For trauma therapy, OCD treatment, couples counseling, and parenting work, extended sessions often allow for deeper processing and more efficient progress.
Many clients find that longer sessions reduce overall treatment time by allowing focused, uninterrupted work.
Our clinicians are trained in gold-standard, research-backed approaches including:
We provide structured, measurable, evidence-based treatment rather than general supportive counseling.
For certain intensives or specialty packages, structured payment arrangements may be available. We are happy to discuss options during your consultation.
