Raffle Sales to Benefit St. Louis County Library Foundation

The St. Louis County Library Foundation will participate in the Smiles League 2009 Summer of Smiles campaign sponsored by Delta Dental and the St. Louis Cardinals. The campaign will raise money for five local children's charities through raffle sales beginning July 30 and ending on September 1. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $2 or $5 and are available online at www.smilesleague.com, at select retailers, and St. Louis County Library Headquarters. Prizes include a Pujols-autographed baseball, a Cardinals gift bag, and four tickets to a Cardinals game on September 12.

Throughout the month of August, buy one Mary Engelbreit tote at regular price ($9 for the general public or $7 for Friends) and get a second for $1. These colorful totes are great for teachers and students! All proceeds benefit the Library Foundation and are tax deductible. Sale is at Headquarters location only.

Uncover Your Family History

The Special Collections Department will offer a free workshop on researching your family history. �Ancestral Timelines: Records for Researching Your Family History� will be offered on two dates: Saturday, August 22, 9:30 � 11:30 a.m. and Wednesday, August 26, 6:30 � 8:30 p.m. The workshops will be held at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
