This sequel to Stephen King’s classic “The Shining” achieves what followups rarely do: It delivers just as well as the original source material in frights and imagination. In a year that’s already been jam-packed with King adaptations (“Pet Sematary,” “It Chapter Two,” “In the Tall Grass”), the film version of “Doctor Sleep” starring Ewan McGregor looks it might just be the one that shines the most, based on critic reviews.
