      Some of those batteries are still useful. I'd keep colorsys, audioop, wave as those are meaningful in embedded settings; maybe msilib too if Windows folks express a need. Can nntplib move out?

      Installation is a hurdle when you're just trying to write a simple script. Wave is a fundamental data format. It isn't obsolete.

      Cool. I’d put wave in same general category as turtle. Easy to teach (even kids). Works everywhere. Can make crazy sounds. Love it.
