I vibe coded a startup with Lovable last year. Here's what happened. 41,000 users. 135,000 page views. All up over 200% year on year. The app is called Renamify. I built it with my co-founder Thomas Olson. The first version was vibe coded in Lovable in about a week. No custom backend. No engineering team. Just prompting, iterating, and shipping. It still gets new users every single week. Without paid ads. Without a growth team. Without anyone maintaining it full time. I keep seeing the same take online: "vibe coded apps are toys." "They don't scale." "They'll break in production." This one didn't. Here's what I think people miss. Vibe coding doesn't fail because the tools are bad. It fails because most people skip the thinking. They open the tool with no scope, no flow, no idea what the one core feature actually is. Then they blame the tool when the result feels like a demo. The tools work. The question is whether you know what to build before you start building. Renamify took a week the first time. If I rebuilt it today, it would take about 45 minutes. The tools have moved that fast. If you're still debating whether vibe coding can produce something real: it can. I have the analytics to prove it.
