Me.dium reveals the hidden world of people and activity behind your Flock browser. With Me.dium you and your friends can see each other moving around the internet. You can surf the web together, for the first time, in real-time. You can also meet new people interested in the same stuff as you - even ask them questions and start discussions. And you'll discover new websites based on the activity of other Me.dium users with the same interests as you. Me.dium is invite-only for now - but we're giving Flock users a limited chance to get in early. Crossover.

The geoFlock Extension gives you a suite of in-built maps and mapping tools for your web browser. Create and save a topbar map using the addresses or address links you find on web pages, or by manually adding locations. Show traffic Info, drag and drop kml files, Geotag Flickr photos within the Flock photo uploader, geotag blog posts within the blog editor (including microformat geo class values, view in google maps/google earth links and insertion of quikmaps.com maps). There is a great deal of additional functionality which is hard to sum up, such as automatic geoURL/geotag discovery, support for Google Earth, Platial.com, getting directions; loc.alize.us, all of these are overviewed on the features page.

The Flockstars extension allows you to view a personalised 'Flockstars Profile Badge' - this is a slightly altered spread flock button which stores the web services you use. Other flock users with this extension can discover and view those services - Flickr/Photobucket photos open in the photostream mediabar, youtube videos open in the mediabar (cormarant) or a new tab (cardinal) and all other services open in a new tab. Non-flock users just see the normal Flock spread button. After you install the extension, go to one of the following sites to see this in action - watch your addressbar flockstar icon appear and hover on it for an about me description, click on it to view web services!

Created an extension for Flock? Upload it here. You'll need to log in and create a developer account first. We'll pull the initial info out of the extension xpi and you can edit this info later. All extensions must be reviewed and approved by Flock staff before they are posted.
If you have no idea what we're talking about or need help building an extension, go to developer.flock.com.

More Extensions
Sure, there are a lot of Firefox extensions out there. Most of them do work with Flock, but some don't. If you have a favorite extension, go ahead and try to load it in Flock. If a warning dialog pops up, we can't guarantee it will work with Flock (but it still might - it just wasn't designed for Flock, and probably wasn't tested with Flock either). If nothing pops up, you can be sure you're set.
You should also keep in mind that some extensions affect the performance of Firefox and Flock. We cannot guarantee speedy Flock performance if you have extensions installed, so we suggest choosing your extensions wisely.
