v.a. - Ticket To Hell - (Bloody Mary-Germany-c60-198?)

Image

60 minutes long Hardcore Punk compilation assembled by this small German label called Bloody Mary! A  buch of great bands playing mainly HC punk or similar genres, good recording and a sheet with the band`s addresses.

The release date is not listed yet from the label`s address is clear that Germany was still diveded into west and east,so it must have been released before the year 1989.

Big thanks to Mark Terminus for this precious pearl from the "lost and found" underground tape-network. Enjoy It.

STENKA BAZIN-A Sacris-(Émergence Du Refus-France-c60-1985)

Image
Stenka Bazin is a french noise project by the musician Claude Escarmant active in the mid-80s.
He took this name from the Russian rebel Stenka Bazin who refusing to reveal his allies names, he was murdered when they cut into pieces his hands and legs and his body was given as food to dogs. (info is taken from La Pelle Muta blog)
The music here is a perfect example of brutalism industrial coming from the first wave of industrial music of the 80s.
Émergence Du Refus was the personal tape label by Claude Escarmant releasing his own works and related artists.
Enjoy it.

GORGONZOLA LEGS-Salmon Squeezing In Weird Weirs-(Exart-Holland-c60-1986)

Image
1984 was the year in which Gert Jan Prins (www.gjp.info/) visited Hessel and Nicole at their apartment on the 11th floor, overlooking a big industrial landscape. Recording-sessions were started at Gert Jan’s “Fish Warehouse” studio. Gert Jan Prins, Hessel Veldman, Herman te Loo and Jos van Duyne became GORGONZOLA LEGS. Hundreds and hundreds of hours of “live”-recording sessions took place. At some of these sessions, other musicians were present, such as Jos van Ommen, Ruud Junge, Martijn Swart and Masaki Oishi. At the end of 1984 “GORGONZOLA LEGS” was released. On this one hour cassette, the first mixed recordings could be heard. The group also wanted to do concerts and so GORGONZOLA LEGS more and more became a “live”-band.

In 1986 a second tape was released, entitled “SALMON SQUEEZING IN WEIRD WEIRS’, a new compilation of “Fish Warehouse”-recordings. “BUNKER” was recorded live at the Bunker in Rotterdam, October ’86. The complete concert could be heard on another EXART-issue. In 1987 the powerful voice of the Japanese singer Masaki Oishi gave a new dimension to the sound of GORGONZOLA LEGS. Hours and hours of recordings were made. At the end of the year, 6 hours of mixed material had to be remixed to L.P.-format. In April 1988 EXART decided to make it Holland’s first independent C.D.-release: “PISCATORIAL DEBRIS’. At the same time, with the great help of Henry van Kleeff, the “PISCATORIAL DEBRIS” video was made. A beautiful 20 minutes sound sculpture video was realized. The video and C.D. got a lot of international attention and was performed on several big music/video festivals. During the late 80s, GORGONZOLA LEGS-material was also released on labels in Portugal, Italy and the U.S.A.(from djima.blogspot.com)

EXART (label, studio and archive) was founded by Hessel Veldman and Nick Nicole (2) in October 1982. In 1978 Hessel had started composing experimental music and before 1978 he was playing the guitar in several local blues- and rock bands. The label wanted to spread new experimental and improvised music. The studio was the place to improvise, compose, record and make radio-programmes, mixes and remixes. At the same time, Veldman started to preserve sounds in the Exart archive. The label ended its activities in 1995, although there are rumours that Veldman has plans to do digitalized reissues of some of the releases.
Variations on the label name (Exart Cassettes, Exart K7) are used on some of the releases.

v.a.-IMPULSE n2-(Impulse-Fanzine+c60-UK-1992)

Image
Impulse was an English fanzine active at the beginning of the 90s and covering industrial/ritual/noise/electronic bands. This is number 2 and I have already posted the number 4.
ImageIn this issue interviews to Muslimgause, Current 93, Thunder Perfect Mind and tons of music reviews and book reviews +a long list of bands, zines and distros contacts. The sampler included offers us a bunch of artists playing industrial, experimental electronics and techno.
A very good production exploring the lively industrial scene from the beginning of the 90s.
Enjoy it.

S-CORE-Dysphonia-(Morpheus Editions-Holland-c60-1989)

Image
Another great cassette by this uncompromising artist from Japan.
Active since the mid of the eighties, Japanese musician Yutaka Tanaka released his works under the name S-CORE.
Early works are all cassette albums he put out on his own cassette label Afflict Records, many of those were recorded via mail collaboration with many sound artists from international underground scene, such as Stefano Biasin (Italy), Telepherique and Trigger B (Germany), Merzbow (Japan), Al Margolis/If, Bwana (USA), Rafael Flores (Spain).
Webpages: orc.ru, rgnz.free.fr
I haven`t got much info about this Dutch label active in the 80s.
Enjoy it.

Comando Bruno / Bogart ‎– Tension Test -(Bog-Art/ECDM-Germany-c60-1985)

Image
ImageComando Bruno is Rafael Flores, Spanish composer, sound and video artist. His whole work is a milestone of experimental music and sound exploration, he produces audio/video works in a very much personal way too hard to define. Rafael Flores build a solid personal universe with intelligent use of natural recordings and the methods of musique concrete, collages and plenty of other vanguard approaches, mixed with a particular sense of humour next to the spirit of dada and surrealism. One of the most active sound artists in the industrial music scene (international cassette network, experimental video, radio and mail art), he influenced new generations of experimental sound artists. His most notorious feature is the intimate poetical touch in the sound works, quite unusual for the industrial music scene. From 1991 to 2001, Rafael Flores reduced musical activity, and was involved with video art, releasing just a very limited sound works as "friends only" private editions. After a long pause, he returns to editorial activity in 2002.
Rafael Flores has published numerous works under his own name and also as Comando Bruno. Was founder member of Diseño Corbusier band and The International Mail Music Group. Many collaboration works followed with like-minded musicians, GX Juppiter-Larsen, Francisco López, Neo Zelanda, Victor Nubla, Francisco Felipe, Esplendor Geométrico, Zan Hoffman, Anton Ignorant, to name a few.
His music was released all over the world by such labels as Monochrome Vision, Banned Production, Discos Esplendor Geometrico, Korm Plastics, Zeromoon, Graf Haufen , Tonspur, and by his own labels Laboratorios No and ECDM.His FB page is here.

Bogart is Hubert Haverkamp-Cologne-based experimental musician. His actual webpage is here.(all the info from Discogs)

Kranivm ‎– I - The Blood -(Slaughter Productions-Italy-c60-1995)

Image
Astonishing release by the legendary Slaughter Productions created and managed by the noise artist Marco Corbelli, who died on 6th May 2007. He left behind an extensive amount of work both as a label and as a musician.
His various projects were:Atrax Morgue, Marco Nothing, Marco Rotula, Mörder Machine and Kranivm.
He also played in those bands Bondi Gabbana, Necrofilia, Necrophonie, Pervas Nefandum, Progetto Morte.

The official webpage dedicated to Atrax Morgue and all his projects is here.
The Italian harsh noise label Urashima re-released lots of  Marco Corbelli works as vinyl productions,
here their webpage. Many of those productions are limited editions and some appear to be sold out now.
Kranivm was an ultra deep and obscure industrial project influenced by old spanish horror movies, ancient horror literature and dark energy.
This is pure esoteric electronix at its best.
Enjoy it.

DSIP-Camarousal-(Irre Tapes-c60-Germany-1992)

Image
Another astonishing tape by this amazing duo, I wrote about them many times on this blog.
Dsip is Dieter Mauson+Siegmar Fricke  researching on sleep & dreams states, ambient hypnotic sounds in great German electronic tradition.
This project was founded in 1989 and active until summer 1994.
After almost 20 years of hiatus they re-formed in 2013,this is their actual soundcloud page.
Also, this label is been covered many times here, it was run by Matthias Lang which evolved out of the IRRE Fanzine he published regularly during the early 1980's covering New Wave, Post Punk, and the German Underground.
Enjoy it.
