SecondBite welcomes the Australian Government's announcement of additional food relief funding, with the organisation named as one of the funding recipients. The investment will enable us to provide more nutritious food to Australians experiencing hardship and respond to growing demand for food relief nationwide. Thank you to Minister for Social Services Tanya Plibersek for recognising the critical role food relief organisations play in supporting those experiencing hardship. It's a much-needed boost at a time when frontline charities are under increasing pressure, with more people seeking food relief, including those who may never have needed support before. While this funding is welcome, sustained investment in the infrastructure and partnerships that connect surplus food with people in need will be essential to keeping pace with demand. SecondBite.org
