Creating generations of confident, self-aware and passionate young people shaping the world to be a better place.

About us

Being young is not without its struggles. Today’s world is pretty complex and young people can experience a bunch of challenges that adults might not be able to relate to. Once of the biggest hurdles is just having the confidence and support to be who they want to be. There are currently over 4 million young people living in Australia, and Reach works with over 40,000 of them a year. We have over 250 of them working for us; designing and delivering workshops in schools and the community. Our workshops are 100% youth-led, from design through to delivery, and the community we create out of these workshops is one that allows for deeper connection, a sense of belonging, and the dispelling of judgements.

Updates

  • A huge congratulations to Jules Lund and Catriona Rowntree on their winning appearance on Tipping Point Australia, raising $17,700 for Reach as part of the special celebration of 70 years of Australian television. The iconic Getaway duo reunited alongside some of Australia's most recognisable TV faces, and we're incredibly grateful they chose to play for Reach. For Jules, the win marks a particularly meaningful full-circle moment. His connection to Reach began as a young person attending the very first Reach workshop, and over the years he has remained involved through workshops, facilitation, program development and initiatives supporting young people. Reflecting on the experience, Jules said: "So much of what's good in my life wouldn't exist without Reach. I certainly wouldn't have had the confidence to pursue a career in television. Now, to appear on TV alongside Catriona, one of the all-time greats, and compete to raise money for Reach feels like a beautiful full-circle moment." Thank you, Jules and Catriona, for your ongoing support of Reach and for helping raise vital funds that will support young people across Australia.

  • We loved having Melbourne Football Club AFLW players Eliza McNamara and Megan Fitzsimon join us at Thousand Faces Camp, where powerful conversations, shared experiences and plenty of fun helped create meaningful connections across generations. Seeing Eliza and Megan reflect so positively on the importance of vulnerability, belonging and feeling safe to be yourself is exactly why we do this work. Thankyou to the Jim Stynes Foundation for helping make these experiences possible. https://lnkd.in/gxkCaKxA

  • Today is International Youth Day. A chance to celebrate young people, their voices, their ideas and the futures they’re creating. This year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” reminds us that while every young person’s experience is different, so many of the things we hope for are shared: to feel heard, to belong, to have opportunities, and to feel confident shaping our own future. At Reach, we see the power of this every day. We believe young people shouldn’t just be part of the conversation; they should help lead it. That’s why our work is youth-led, creating spaces where young people can connect, be themselves, build resilience and discover what they’re capable of. Here’s to the young people who are speaking up, showing up, looking out for each other and helping shape what comes next. Happy International Youth Day

  • The Anthony Costa Foundation is partnering with Reach to support young people across the Geelong region over the next three years. Thanks to this incredible partnership, more than 4,500 secondary students will have the opportunity to participate in Reach workshops that build connection, confidence, and resilience.   Building on the success of our work in Geelong earlier this year, this long-term commitment allows us to work closely with schools and community leaders to deliver bespoke programs that respond to the unique needs of their students. By working with schools over multiple years, we can create deeper relationships and more meaningful, lasting impact.   We're incredibly grateful to the Anthony Costa Foundation and the Costa family for their belief in the power of young people and their ongoing support of Reach. We look forward to growing this partnership and creating lasting impact together.

  • We were lucky enough to run another Thousand Faces camp at the end of June at Kinglake Forest Adventures, welcoming 20 young people and 20 adults into a shared experience centred on connection, leadership and personal growth. Facilitated by Josh Robinson, Maggie and Reagan Morel, the camp brought together people from different backgrounds to build meaningful relationships, challenge perspectives, and create a space where everyone could be heard. Programs like Thousand Faces remind us of the power of bringing generations together. When young people and adults are given the opportunity to connect authentically, everyone learns, grows and leaves with a deeper understanding of themselves and others. A huge thank you to every participant for your openness, courage and willingness to contribute to such a special experience. We can't wait to see where the impact of this camp continues to reach.

      +2
  • Recently, Reach returned to Central Australia ahead of the Heart of the Nation game to deliver workshops and spend time in community. After a two-year hiatus, the team was incredibly grateful to be back thanks to the support of McLardy McShane Insurance Advisors, Melbourne Football Club and the Jim Stynes Foundation. Alice Springs has held a special place in Reach’s story for more than a decade, and it was meaningful to reconnect with the incredible communities, schools and organisations that make the Red Centre so unique. We’re already looking forward to coming back and continuing this work together!
