🌍 THE POWER OF BEING HEARD When people feel heard, something meaningful happens: 🤝 Connections grow stronger. 💛 People feel included. 💬 Conversations become pathways to change. Listening to lived experience is more than acknowledging someone’s story. It means valuing their knowledge, respecting their perspective and ensuring their voice can help shape mental health conversations, services and solutions. When we listen, we connect. When we connect, we create change. This World Mental Health Day, let us create spaces where every voice is welcomed, respected and empowered to make a difference. #WorldMentalHealthDay #WMHD2026 #LivedExperiencesHeard #RealVoicesRealChange #MentalHealthForAll #WFMH

In 2026, #BEACTIVEDAY focuses on the powerful connection between physical activity, mental health and wellbeing. Regular movement has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, improve mood and self-esteem, strengthen resilience, and enhance overall quality of life. Through this year's campaign, we aim to raise awareness of these benefits and encourage more supportive, inclusive environments where everyone feels welcome to be active. To support this mission, EuropeActive has developed the Mental Health & Wellbeing Guide, available free of charge in the following languages: 🇬🇧 English 🇳🇱 Dutch 🇫🇷 French 🇬🇷 Greek 🇱🇻 Latvian 🇲🇰 Macedonian 🇵🇹 Portuguese 🇷🇸 Serbian 🇪🇸 Spanish 🇸🇪 Swedish Written by Prof. Dr Richard Peter Bailey, Dr Ra'ed Al-Khamaiseh, and Dr Nadia Samsudin from UCSI University, the Guide brings together the latest scientific evidence and practical recommendations to help fitness professionals, activity organisers, employers, educators and communities create environments that support positive mental wellbeing. It also features a foreword by Alex Corretja, former World No. 2 tennis player and Eurosport expert, who shares his personal perspective on the importance of staying active for both physical and mental wellbeing. The Guide is further enriched by expert insights from Dr. Karlie Intlekofer, Global Research Scientist and Personal Trainer at Matrix Fitness, who shares practical advice on creating more welcoming, inclusive and psychologically supportive fitness environments for people of all backgrounds and abilities. We hope it will inspire organisations across Europe to place mental wellbeing at the heart of physical activity and create fitness environments where everyone feels safe, welcomed and supported. 🙌 Find our Mental Health Guide here: https://lnkd.in/eNAR9Zw8
