Birds Jute & Exports Ltd. (BJEL) was incorporated on 30th June, 1904 under the name of the Lansdowne Jute Company Limited with object of taking over, as a going concern, the business of manufacturing jute goods in its mill at Dakhindari from the Arathoon Jute Mills Limited.
