Právo se nejlépe poznává v praxi. Proto jsme společně s Právnická fakulta Masarykovy univerzity připravili nový předmět 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗶𝗸𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗸𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗲 – 𝗖𝗠𝗦 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗯, který studentům přiblíží práci advokáta v reálném byznysovém prostředí. Prostřednictvím modelových případů si studenti vyzkoušejí, jak analyzovat právní problémy, vytvářet strategie a hledat řešení, která obstojí nejen po právní, ale také po obchodní stránce. O zkušenosti z advokátní praxe se s nimi podělí naši kolegové Petra Mysakova, Lenka Krutakova, Filip Gvozdek, Lucia Luptáková, Vladěna Svobodová, Stepan Havranek, Vladimír Zemaník, Adéla Kučerová, Denisa Trpisovska, Romana Benešová, Martin Černý, Jan Nešpor, Karolína Doubková, Michal Vaclavik a Šimon Uradnik. Studenty provedou různými oblastmi práva a ukážou jim, jak se právní znalosti proměňují v praktická řešení pro klienty. We are pleased to have advised Grupo Hotusa on the refinancing of two of its Prague hotel assets, Áurea Legends and Exe City Park Praha, through facilities provided by Oberbank AG branch Czech Republic. The transaction is another example of CMS Czech Republic's growing involvement in the hospitality sector. In recent years, we have advised on a number of notable hotel and hospitality matters, including transactions involving Augustine Hotel Prague, Hilton Prague, Four Seasons Prague and other prominent hospitality assets. Together with the latest Hotusa refinancing mandates, these transactions highlight the depth of our sector experience and the strength of our integrated Banking & Finance and Real Estate offering. We have advised a club of banks led by Česká spořitelna on two cross-border financings supporting EMMA Capital a.s.’s growing Magna MedTech platform.   The financings comprise an increase in the existing financing for Serbian medical technology distributor Magna Pharmacia D.O.O. and a new financing for Magna Medtech Group, supporting its expanding healthcare distribution business across South-Eastern Europe.   Magna MedTech has grown rapidly since EMMA Capital entered the sector in 2024, with acquisitions including Romanian distributor Diamedix Diagnostica, Montenegrin distributor URION D.O.O., and most recently acquisition of a 70% stake in Bulgarian distributor RSR Ltd. The platform now operates across six countries with annual turnover exceeding EUR 230m.   The transaction involved close cooperation across several CMS teams, combining local market expertise with CMS’s cross-border financing experience and coordination across six jurisdictions.   The team was led by Petra Mysakova and included Andrea Haushalterová and Adam Fanta (CMS Czech Republic); Ana Radnev and Eric Iliescu (CMS Romania); Milica Popovic, Ksenija Boreta and Jovana Bingulac (CMS Belgrade); and Elitsa Ivanova, Atanas Bangachev, Konstantin Stoyanov and Denitsa Koseva (CMS Sofia). A great day on two wheels! Last Friday, we took to the roads around Prague with our clients for the CMS Prague Autumn Cycling Tour – 90 km of cycling, good company and plenty of sunshine. It was great to see so many familiar faces, as well as some new ones, and to spend day together outside the office. A big thank you to everyone who came along, and to Festka for organising the ride and taking such good care of us throughout.
