Jo Myong Ae (as of this rev)
  • Add an appropriate ENGVAR template to the page.
  • Add the {{Use dmy dates}} / {{Use mdy dates}} template as well.
  • Are Seoul News (ref 10), 시사저널 (ref 11), and Newsen (ref 12) reliable sources...?
  • Is Tongil News a reliable site..?
  • |work= or |website= parameters should be defined in English for refs 2 and 11.
  • Wordings such as "vigorously disputed" and "pro-[...]" doesn't sound like WP:NPOV; rewrite those bits...
  • Who is Park Chae-seo, and why his statements are reliable...?

@Jishara: that's all I got, ping me when you're done addressing these.. Vestrian24Bio 10:30, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Vestrian24Bio: Tongil News is definitely biased but also has a solid reputation for factchecking, as such I'm using it with attribution and noting - do you happen to have a suggestion for rewording the pro-North Korea note? Seoul Shinbun is a long-standing and reliable newspaper which is reliable for anything but Gangbuk District and local governmental entities in Seoul per WikiProject Korea because of a whole scandal where they were seeking bribes from local small governmental entities, so I think it's fine for this use on international things. Sisa (the one in korean)'s (!) tag is there on WikiProject Korea because of a scandal with how it did Samsung in 2006, everything else is apparently fine, and the Sisa article is not about Samsung and from the late 2010s. According to WikiProject Korea Newsen is only rated MREL because it needs more discussion, and the article is a critical review of a show so I think that should be fine. Replaced Vigorously Disputed. Park Chae-seo is sorta an insider to the whole affair? There's a New York Times profile on him that clarifies a bit, but he was the most prominent and most effective, by far, South Korean spy on North Korea for a while. He was also vital to Myong-ae's presence in the 2005 commercial (he arranged it). As such, I think he should be fine for use with attribution here. Added the two templates, and put both websites in English. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 12:17, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
