Updating taxonomy 2025

[edit]

I would like to update the taxonomy in line with The classification and diversity of dragonflies and damselflies (Odonata) by K-D B Dijkstra et al, 2013.[1]

This was a significant taxonomic re-alignment.

Any objections? John Tann (talk) 11:33, 29 September 2024 (UTC) John Tann (talk) 11:33, 29 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Updating taxonomy 2026

[edit]

Over the next while, I intend to update the Zygoptera taxonomy in line with The classification and diversity of extant dragonflies and damselflies (Odonata) by Carter et al., (2026)[2] and the current World Odonata List.[3] This is mostly about moving families from Calopterygoidea into eight new superfamilies.

Any objections? John Tann (talk) 22:31, 18 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
