Merge templates?

Latest comment: 9 months ago3 comments2 people in discussion

Just getting a discussion going before making an official merge request... Considering recent mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations, should we now merge relevant information between this template and the {{RTX}} template?

If I understand correctly, Raytheon Company does not actually exist anymore. So all the articles using {{Raytheon}} require new navbox templates. — TadgStirkland⁴⁰¹(Tadg^Talk-Email) 06:40, 26 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Raytheon is a division of RTX. I don't think we want to merge all RTX subsidiaries into one navbox. Thoughts? --Jax 0677 (talk) 17:52, 26 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

I agree that I’ve seen elsewhere that Raytheon is or was a subsidiary to RTX. But if you read both articles here on WP, they disagree about a few things regarding that and need serious updates. In doing so, the editor needs to confirm relationship and status. As to your comment about moving all things “Raytheon” into the RTX template, looking at other navboxes there is a bit of precedence, thus my suggestion. — TadgStirkland⁴⁰¹(Tadg^Talk-Email) 10:39, 27 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
