Broadcasted
[edit]The Wiktionary definition of Broadcasted states the use is sometimes proscribed, so it should not be used. The word also appears on Wikipedia:Lists_of_common_misspellings/B
Broadcasted appears in some dictionaries, but others, e.g. Chambers state "Sorry, no entries for Broadcasted were found".
Broadcast appears in all dictionaries, and should be used as COMMONALITY - "Wikipedia tries to find words that are common to all varieties of English".
A September 2026 search for Broadcast gave over 215,500 uses, compared with a search for Broadcasted which gave just 119.
Of these, 15 are redirects to "Broadcast" articles and 6 relate to a 1924 cartoon. The rest are in quotations or reference titles.
Have a look
[edit]Hi, do you think this is OK? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:34, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Fylindfotberserk - I think that it is contrary to the standard consensus. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 11:40, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Request for a quick look at Draft:Nagarukhra
[edit]Hello Dear Arjayay,
I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to thank you for the copyediting and formatting clean-ups you recently performed on Draft:Nagarukhra. Your help is deeply appreciated. Since you are already somewhat familiar with the page, I wanted to kindly request if you might have a moment to take a final look at it. The draft is currently in the AfC pending queue, and I have tried my best to follow all guidelines regarding references and tone. If you feel it meets the criteria, would it be possible for you to review and accept it, or let me know if any further changes are required? I completely understand if you are busy or prefer that I just wait for my turn in the regular queue. Thank you again for your time and previous help! ~~~~ Skype7 (talk) 16:26, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Skype7, thanks for your post. As I am not a Wikipedia:New page reviewer, I can't review the page, and, having made several large edits to it, it would be inappropriate for me to do so, even if I was a "New page reviewer", as that would be like marking my own work. I suggest you wait your turn. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 20:55, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]hey man. Thanks for the correction lol, i didn't even realize it. :) have a Great day. Ahmed1674 (talk) 00:31, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Ahmed1674 - It is what us little WP:WikiGnomes do, but it always nice to be appreciated. Best wishes. - Arjayay (talk) 11:01, 7 October 2026 (UTC)
Thank you!
[edit]I would like to offer you the kindest thanks for all the copy editing you have done on pages I have created or worked on over the last little while - seeing the mistakes I have made is somewhat embarrassing but seeing them being fixed is truly appreciated! Honestly - thank you!

Kangaroo's promote Australian Wikilove and hopefully this one has made your day much better.
Spread WikiLove by placing a kangaroo on other user's talk pages by adding {{subst:Kangaroo}} to their talk page.
Happy editing!

- Thanks Aliceinthealice. I've never been awarded a kangaroo before. I have been awarded several kittens, but I'm allergic to cats - I wonder if I'm allergic to kangaroos? Best wishes. - Arjayay (talk) 11:06, 7 October 2026 (UTC)
Request for page edits: Ushahidi
[edit]Dear Arjayjay,
Hope you’re doing well. Thank you for reviewing the Ushahidi page a couple of years ago. I recently came across your message and would really appreciate your guidance.
The page is now quite outdated, and I’d like to understand the process for requesting updates. Would you be able to help with this or point me in the right direction?
Many thanks for your time! JedMuthui (talk) 08:47, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
- Hi JedMuthui - Although I appear to have made 7 edits to Ushahidi, the last one was in February 2024, so, as I have made over 188,000 edits since then, I really don't remember it.
Looking at the article's history, it seems to have had several problems, including conflict of interest edits, unsourced edits and copyright violations.
If you have any relationship with Ushahidi, or people working for Ushahidi, then find WP:Reliable sources that include the information you think needs updating, and read and follow Wikipedia:Simple conflict of interest edit request.
If you have no such relationship, then find WP:Reliable sources that include the information you wish to change, then read and follow Help:Referencing for beginners and add the information to the page, making sure you do not directly copy from the sources, as that would be a copyright violation. Best wishes. - Arjayay (talk) 10:25, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
Introducing the revamped uw-mos1 template
[edit]Hi, Arjayay, and thanks for your contributions. I noticed that you have used user warning templates like {{uw-mos1}} to advise or warn users about MOS issues—thanks very much for that. The {{uw-mos1}} template has always suffered from vagueness; it doesn't say anything about what MOS rule they broke, making it nearly impossible for the user to understand: 1) what they did wrong, 2) how to fix it, or 3) how to avoid making the exact same error next time. In brief, if used without additional wording, the uw-mos1 template assigns blame without explanation or remedy, and is virtually useless to help a willing user improve.
But, good news! The template has been revamped with new features, in particular, a couple of different ways to signal exactly what MOS rule was broken. There are two new parameters you can use for this: |issue=, and |longissue=. Please take a minute to go over the new doc at {{uw-mos1}} about how to use the new params; see especially sections §§ Notes and Examples. Next time you need to advise a user about a MOS style issue, please try out the new features to help the user understand better what they are being templated for.
Once again, many thanks for using {{uw-mos1}} to advise editors about MOS issues; I hope you'll find the new features helpful. Cheers, Mathglot (talk) 16:33, 10 October 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I noticed you maintain the List of Kashmiri people. I have a COI, but I was hoping a neutral editor could look at adding 2025 Maranello Cup Champion driver Yousuf Nabi to the sports section using independent sources. Thank you! 458race (talk) 18:07, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
- Hi 458race
As it clearly states on the edit page of List of Kashmiri people:- "No red links or un-linked entries. Every entry in this list must have an article written in the English Wikipedia, with reliable sources to support inclusion, else it will be removed without warning."
- As Yousuf Nabi does not have "an article written in the English Wikipedia" - he is ineligible for inclusion. Best wishes. - Arjayay (talk) 19:53, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
Thank you!
[edit]Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for catching my duplicate word on the Elkorn City, Kentucky article. I am still a little new to this, I apologize for my mistake and appreciate the correction! ItzJustPaul (talk) 05:48, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks ItzJustPaul. We WikiGnomes quietly go around trying to tidy up, but it is nice to be appreciated occasionally. Thanks again. - Arjayay (talk) 09:50, 14 October 2026 (UTC)

- Hi Frans Fowler thanks for the thanks. I don't know if you are a fan of the band The The, but they cause me a lot of problems! Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 08:40, 15 October 2026 (UTC)
