Have you edited Wikipedia before? If so, via which account? 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk / Uploads 17:55, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thank you for your message.
I should have been clearer earlier. I am editing this article on behalf of a client / as part of paid work, and I will disclose this on my user page in line with the Wikimedia Terms of Use. I am also aware of the conflict of interest guideline, so I will not edit the article directly from now on and will propose changes on this talk page using Request edit.
I apologize for removing the maintenance tag. I understand it should remain until an uninvolved editor reviews the article.
Regarding your question: [I have not edited Wikipedia under any other account. / I have previously edited under the account "NAME", which I should have mentioned.]
I will work on making the article neutral and properly sourced, and I would welcome your feedback on which sections need improvement.
Thank you. Dokomeme (talk) 20:05, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm asking you to identify accounts you've previously used per WP:LEGITSOCK. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk / Uploads 08:43, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello Dokomeme. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Dokomeme. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Dokomeme|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 21:09, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and thank you for the message.
I am not being paid, and I have not been promised or expect any compensation, directly or indirectly, for my edits on Wikipedia. I do not have any client, employer or other person or organization I am editing on behalf of, and I have no undisclosed financial relationship with the subject of any article I have edited.
This is my only account and I have not edited under any other account. [Remove this line if it is not true.]
I have read the paid-contribution disclosure and conflict of interest policies. I will not edit the article directly until this is resolved, and if I want changes made I will propose them on the article's talk page with an edit request.
Please let me know if any of my edits seemed promotional or non-neutral. I am happy to fix them.
Thank you. Dokomeme (talk) 07:32, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Do not use an AI to talk to us.
Your AI wrote contradictory messages, above you say you are paid, and here you say you're not. 331dot (talk) 08:40, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi 331dot,
I apologize for the confusion caused by my earlier messages. I would like to clarify that I work on Wikipedia editing, and I understand the importance of following Wikipedia’s policies and disclosure requirements.
Could you please clarify the specific concerns behind the maintenance tags you added to the articles and explain what needs to be improved to address them? Your guidance would help me better understand the issues and the appropriate next steps.
Thank you Dokomeme (talk) 15:23, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
The specific concern is that you have not complied with the Wikipedia Terms of Use and disclosed your status as a paid editor; this means that you are not permitted to edit Wikipedia until you comply. It has been subsequently found that you are part of a group of undisclosed paid editors, you have now all been blocked. To be clear for you and your group, disclosure of paid editing, which includes actually being paid or even just the expectation of being paid, is a Terms of Use requirement that you agree to comply with when you created your account and clicked "publish changes". That created a legal obligation to comply.
Paid editors also should not be directly making edits due to the conflict of interest; they should be using indirect processes(edit requests and AFC).
This is partially the result of off-wiki information communicated to the COI Volunteer Response Team(of which I am a member); both WP:OUTING and documents I have signed with the WMF prevent me from disclosing the specific information, but it clearly indicates paid editing. 331dot (talk) 15:48, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Dear 331dot,
Thank you for explaining your concerns.
I would like to respectfully clarify that I am not being paid to edit Wikipedia, nor do I have any expectation of receiving payment for my Wikipedia contributions. I am not part of any group of undisclosed paid editors, and I am not affiliated with any such group.
I understand that Wikipedia requires editors to disclose paid contributions and that paid editing must comply with the relevant Terms of Use and conflict-of-interest policies. I respect these guidelines and have no intention of violating Wikipedia’s policies.
I am concerned that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding my activities or communications. I would appreciate the opportunity to clarify my position and understand the specific concerns that led to this action.
I would also like to understand how I can appropriately address the maintenance tags on the article and the edits that were reverted. Could you please point me to the relevant policies or explain what steps I should take to resolve these issues in accordance with Wikipedia’s guidelines?
I want to ensure that any future contributions I make are appropriate, transparent, and fully compliant with Wikipedia’s rules. If there are specific concerns about my previous activity, I would appreciate clear guidance so that I can understand and address them properly.
Thank you Dokomeme (talk) 16:34, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm not talking to an AI. If you want to communicate with me about this, do so in your own words. You may also appeal as described below- but your above story, even if you write it yourself, just isn't going to fly in the face of the very clear evidence I have seen, probably the clearest I have seen in my Wikipedia career. Stop insulting our intelligence. 331dot (talk) 16:44, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I understand your concerns, but I respectfully disagree with the accusations being made against me. I believe I am being judged based on assumptions rather than being given a fair opportunity to explain my actions.
I have been trying to respond to the concerns raised, but my actual points and questions have not been properly addressed. Instead, conclusions seem to have been reached before my explanation has been fully considered.
If there is specific evidence that supports the accusations against me, I would appreciate it if you could clearly identify it and explain how it relates to my actions. I am willing to address specific concerns and discuss this matter constructively, but I do not believe it is fair to make accusations without properly addressing my responses.
I am not asking for special treatment. I am simply asking for a fair, evidence-based discussion in which my explanations are considered on their merits. I hope we can keep this conversation focused on the facts and resolve the matter in a professional and respectful way. Dokomeme (talk) 21:16, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Your chance to explain is now. You may do so to me, or to someone else in a formal unblock request(see the instructions below). Someone else reviewing this matter(who will need to be either a checkuser or another COIVRT member with access to the information) is free to unblock you without consulting me further if they feel I am in error.
I have already said I am not allowed by policy and documents I have signed to disclose the off wiki evidence in this matter. You are free to review the sockpuppet investigation(linked to on your user page) for the public information that led to this block. 331dot (talk) 21:24, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I will add that a checkuser is the one who has linked all the accounts at issue with private technical evidence that even I do not have access to, so I don't know what that evidence is; my involvment is mostly in the UPE aspect of this block. 331dot (talk) 21:27, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have noticed that my edits have already been reverted, and I would appreciate some clarification regarding the reasons for these reversions. Could you please identify the specific edits that were reverted and explain the concerns behind those decisions, to the extent that you are able to do so publicly?
I want to understand whether the reversions were based on issues with the content of my edits or whether they were related to the concerns raised about my account. I believe it is important to understand the specific reasons so that I can respond appropriately and avoid any further misunderstandings.
I am willing to cooperate and address any legitimate concerns. I would appreciate a clear explanation of the situation and guidance on what steps I can take to resolve this matter in accordance with Wikipedia's policies. Dokomeme (talk) 21:35, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Right now the only concerns you need to address are the undisclosed paid editing(UPE) and the connections to other accounts(established, as I said, with private evidence even I cannot see). Your explanation will need to be very persuasive in the face of clear evidence of UPE and connections to other accounts. 331dot (talk) 22:03, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for clarifying the concerns that I need to address. I understand that the two main issues are the allegation of undisclosed paid editing (UPE) and the alleged connections to other accounts. I would like to address both concerns clearly and respectfully.
Regarding the account connections, I would like to state that, to the best of my knowledge, I have used only one Wikipedia account for my editing activities. I do not knowingly operate or use multiple accounts to edit Wikipedia, and I respectfully deny intentionally using other accounts to circumvent Wikipedia's policies or mislead the community. My account has now been blocked by Wikipedia, and I have not attempted to evade that block. I understand that private technical evidence may not be available for public disclosure, but I would appreciate it if an authorized reviewer could independently examine the relevant evidence and assess my case fairly.
Regarding the UPE allegation, I would appreciate a clearer explanation of the specific edits or conduct that led to this concern. So far, I have not received sufficiently clear guidance identifying the circumstances behind the allegation or explaining what steps would be necessary to address it. This makes it difficult for me to fully understand the concern and provide a meaningful response.
I respectfully request clarification of the specific edits or circumstances that raised the UPE concern, to the extent that this information can be shared publicly. If there are particular edits that appear promotional, involve a conflict of interest, or otherwise raise concerns under Wikipedia's policies, I would appreciate having those identified so that I can understand the issue. I would also be grateful for guidance on the appropriate process for resolving the UPE concern and whether any disclosure, correction, or other action would be required.
I recognize the importance of Wikipedia's policies on paid editing, transparency, and account use. I am willing to cooperate with a fair review and address any legitimate concerns based on the applicable policies and available evidence. I am not asking for the policies to be overlooked; I am asking for a clear understanding of the allegations and a fair opportunity to respond.
I respectfully ask that my case be reviewed objectively, including by another authorized reviewer if appropriate. I hope that, with clearer guidance and a fair assessment of the available evidence, this matter can be resolved in accordance with Wikipedia's policies. Dokomeme (talk) 10:05, 17 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
To obtain a review by someone else, you need to follow the instructions below. No one else will see your statements here unless you do.
Sockpuppetry is not just one person using multiple accounts; it can be a subet called meat puppetry; a group collaborating/coordinating off wiki. I believe that may the the case here.
I have already said I am not allowed to disclose the specific evidence that led to my finding of UPE. I suggest that you think hard about why someone might think you are a paid editor if you aren't. You may examine Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Momopooo for what we are able to disclose. Based on that and your public editing history, you seem to have a particular interest in editing about professors/scientists, who are categories of people whom undisclosed paid editors attempt to solicit business from. 331dot (talk) 12:45, 17 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your message. To be honest, I am still a little confused about some of the points you mentioned, and I do not fully understand what specifically has led to this conclusion about my editing.
I understand your concerns, but I would appreciate it if you could explain what steps I need to take to have this reviewed by someone else. I am willing to cooperate with the review process and clarify any concerns about my editing.
I would also like to understand the process for removing the UPE tags you have placed. Could you please explain how these tags can be reviewed and what criteria or steps are required for them to be removed? Is there a formal process I need to follow, or should I request a review from another administrator?
I would appreciate some clear guidance so I can understand the situation properly and know what to do next.
Thank you Dokomeme (talk) 09:33, 18 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Don't generate comments with an LLM. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk / Uploads 09:35, 18 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have nothing more to say to you until you stop using an LLM(which I assume you are doing to conceal your personal writing style). As I've noted twice, you may follow the instructions below to obtain a review by someone else. 331dot (talk) 12:35, 18 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Image
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Munapaper per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Munapaper. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
