Honours and Soccerbase

[edit]

Please can you explain why you are overwriting BBC/club etc. sources with tables from Soccerbase? GiantSnowman 12:13, 27 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

@GiantSnowman Hello, I swapped them because I didn't think the previous sources verified whether they won a league winner's medal properly. The Stockport club one was a dead ref anyway I believe and all the BBC one verified was that they played in the final game of the season. To win a medal you need to be in the match day squad for 25% of the 46 so I don't think the BBC source is adequate for this.
I've seen plenty of other editors use Soccerbase to verify league winner's medals, and this seems like a better way to do it personally. I should've left an edit summary though. Michaeldble (talk) 06:40, 28 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Bulleted lists and spaces

[edit]

Hi Michaeldble, I've seen you add references for honours to countless pages on my watchlist. Thanks a lot for your work!

For bulleted lists, could you perhaps reconsider removing the spaces between the asterisk and the text? The bullet points are properly formatted without the spaces but as someone with poor eyesight I find readability of the source text suffers. You'll notice that the examples of lists in our Manual of Style and help pages all have the space: MOS:ACCESSLIST, Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists, Help:List… Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:48, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Robby.is.on Hi there! Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware of that. I'll make sure to keep the space between the bullet points and text from now on. Thanks Michaeldble (talk) 10:04, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
