Doesn't meet WP:NFILM / WP:GNG. Boleyn (talk) 19:43, 22 November 2024 (UTC)reply

@Boleyn: the article is about a breakdancing move, not a movie. WP:NFILM is completely irrelevant. As far as GNG: I don't know where to find reliable sources on breakdancing moves, but based on some Youtube videos the content seems to be accurate. Delete While I agree the film notability is irrelevant, there seems to be nothing to support this article's general notability. I did a quick test googling a couple of other dance moves (air flares and kip-up) alongside site:.edu for reliable sources (yes I know not all edu sources are reliable, but it at least skims out random blogs and such). While these 2 moves easily provided relevant sources, searching "2000 b-boy dance" yielded sources that only used 2000 as a year, not a dance move.
TL;DR: Delete per WP:GNG Urchincrawler (talk) 23:47, 22 November 2024 (UTC)reply
Comment: It does exist. Not from reliable sources, but I can find some apparently genuine articles talking about it, that say things not in the Wikipedia article (therefore not copied from it):
Apparently one of the first people to significantly use it was someone under the stage name of Crazy Legs. Mrfoogles (talk) 22:51, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
It's true notability is about sources, but looking from this Reddit thread it seems to be a somewhat established thing, so there might be sources out there. Mrfoogles (talk) 22:56, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
@Mrfoogles I'm not saying it doesn't exist, just that it's not notable. Lack of credible/reliable sources is proof of that. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate source of information, articles must have encyclopedic value. WP:NOTEVERYTHING

I recommend you look at WP:RELIABLE for sourcing info. Urchincrawler (talk) 20:44, 29 November 2024 (UTC)reply

  • Comment. I'm not sure the name is correct in the article based on the links by Mrfoogles. I believe the move is called "2000s" with an "s". Note to admin. This should probably be relisted so that commenters can look for sources under the name "2000s".4meter4 (talk) 04:53, 29 November 2024 (UTC)reply
Comment just repeated the aforementioned .edu test with "2000s b-boy dance" and found no relevant results. For good measure I checked the news section of google without the .edu specification and still found no sources. Urchincrawler (talk) 20:58, 29 November 2024 (UTC)reply

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
