Check the Numbers
[edit]In the Sept 27 to Oct 3 report, #4 and #6 both show they have 1,817,056 views, and #5 is in the middle with 1,740,143 views. I do not know how to get these numbers, so could you please check and if necessary correct it? The upcoming Signpost article gave the wrong date, I corrected that. Mitchsavl (talk) 03:21, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
- I have changed #4 to 2,268,487 and reordered the list. ~2026-50346-96 (talk) 07:05, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
- From this chart, the Asian Games and Lizzie have 1.814 million views, but the ones in the current version of the report show 1.817 million. @Igordebraga did you miscount? Hason-LEK-SIN ● 💬 ● 🧱 ● 🧪 08:35, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
- You're the one miscounting by not checking the "include redirects" box. Those are important. (and your chart shows higher numbers for the top article, either I forgot the redirects for Pike on Sunday or there was some revision, will change to reflect it) igordebraga ≠ 15:56, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
Pageviews is down... again
[edit]FYI: Due to an upcoming PHP security patch, Phabricator, WMCloud and Toolforge have been taken offline. Yes, that includes our beloved Pageviews tool (pageviews.wmcloud.org). Even though the patch itself will be released in around ten hours, there is no indication of when the said tools will be back up. If the services do not come back up by Saturday night, our next report (Top 25 Report/October 18 to 24) will be delayed, and if the pageview measurement system itself is also taken offline, welp, we're cooked.
Details can be found here on out Technical village pump and here on Wikitech. Posting here as a precautionary measure in case someone wonders what happened to the Pageviews tool that we rely on. Thank you. Hason-LEK-SIN ● 💬 ● 🧱 ● 🧪 03:18, 21 October 2026 (UTC)
