Latest Docker Desktop version 4.18.0 (104112) - I updated about 1 month ago, after 3 months without updating it... that's when this problem show'd up... I updated again last week hoping it was fixed.
Regression: This problem has occured in the past, maybe its been five or six years but I know the app had this problem before... so recommend regression testing.
Happy to provide more details, not sure what else would be helpful.
I didn't have any luck finding an underlying cause, but the next version of Docker Desktop (4.19) will now report this error by showing the command that failed and its output, which hopefully give us the information needed to solve this.
It appears the message has changed after update... good work, good error messages lead to speedy resolutions... didn't research it, but initial guess is that this is a common command y'all forget to update when you update the underlying docker or something... looking forward to having my delete all container buttons back =), again.
