As we continue to celebrate Construction Industry Federation (CIF), we caught up with Clíodhna Oakes our Senior Cultural Safety Programme Lead to hear her perspective on sustaining and strengthening Collen’s positive safety culture. A strong safety culture requires ongoing commitment, and safety leadership belongs to everyone. Whatever our role, the decisions we make, the standards we uphold and the care we show for one another help keep our sites safe. This year’s “Back to Basics” theme reminds us to maintain that focus every day: planning work safely, managing risks, challenging complacency and speaking up when something doesn’t look right. Thank you to Clíodhna for sharing her insights and to everyone across our teams and supply chain for their continued commitment to Creating Safer Sites.

Celebrating SHEQ Excellence in Sweden Collen was proud to host the 2026 Collen SHEQ Awards in Stockholm last Friday evening, bringing together our valued supply chain partners and their guests to celebrate excellence across Safety, Health, Environment and Quality. Our supply chain partners commitment, professionalism, leadership and willingness to work collaboratively with Collen are fundamental to delivering the high standards we strive to achieve and maintain across our projects. Awards are about recognising achievement and excellence, but they are also about saying thank you. Thank you to all our supply chain partners and their people who continually engage with our teams, share ideas and help us improve. We were also delighted to share the evening with representatives from Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Embassy, the US Embassy, the Irish Chamber of Commerce in Sweden and the wider Irish-Swedish business community. Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients, and a heartfelt thank you to all our supply chain partners for your continued commitment, collaboration and contribution. Our success is built on what we achieve together. #Environmental #Collen #SHEQ #Sweden #Safety #Construction #EnterpriseIreland #IrishChamberofCommerce

To kick off Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Safety Week 2026, our CEO Mark McGreevy shares his thoughts on the importance of keeping safety at the forefront of everything we do. Safety is about more than processes and procedures. It’s about the decisions we make every day, looking out for one another and making sure everyone plays their part in maintaining a safe working environment. This week provides an opportunity to reflect on those responsibilities and continue the conversations that help strengthen safety across our industry. #CIFSafetyWeek #SafetyWeek2026 #Collen #ConstructionSafety
