  • A huge thank you to the entire Woodie's team for raising an incredible €160,665.70 for Childline by ISPCC through the Woodie's Heroes Campaign! 💚 This remarkable achievement is a testament to the generosity and dedication of Woodie's colleagues and customers across Ireland. With Childline costing €15,900 a day to operate, the funds raised represent the equivalent of more than ten days and nights of our 24-hour listening service. That's ten days and nights of being there for children and young people across Ireland, providing a listening ear whenever they need someone to talk to. Thank you to everyone who supported the Woodie's Heroes Campaign for helping ensure Childline continues to be there for children and young people, any reason, any time. Together, we can help make childhood better, happier and safer. 💜 #Childline #ISPCC #WoodiesHeroes

  • At ISPCC, we are acutely aware of the need for meaningful Government investment in the area of mental health and we welcome the announcement by Mary Butler TD of an increase of €108m in #Budget 2027.   Anxiety is one of the most common reasons why young people turn to ISPCC for support. Early intervention can make a crucial difference to those children and young people who are struggling with their mental health. It can prevent crisis intervention later on. Therefore, it's imperative to invest early in the mental health of our children.    ISPCC is here for all children and young people, and we want to make meaningful change for them. Children and young people need our voice and support now more than ever. Caroline O’Sullivan, ISPCC Director of Services, says: “I'm proud of the suite of services ISPCC makes available to children and young people - whether they need us early on when something is bothering them, or if they are in crisis and contact us to raise the alarm and want to seek additional, more specialised support. We are here to listen and support for any reason, any time. The fact that our services are free to all who need them ensures equity for families from all socioeconomic backgrounds and areas. We continue to be grateful for the support we get from the HSE National Office for Suicide Prevention and the Health Service Executive to provide these services."   We welcome Minster Butler's ongoing firm commitment to mental health and note her intention to continue investing in prevention and early intervention, making services accessible to children in their communities.     To this end, ISPCC has just launched a new programme aimed at supporting those who have ADHD. It is one of several of its Digital Mental Health and Wellbeing programmes, and our aim is to roll them out nationally over a three-year period. These separate but complimentary programmes are available to parents/carers of anxious children and young peoples and also to teenagers who experience low to moderate levels of anxiety.   For more see: www.ispcc.ie

We are very proud to share that the 12th annual Woodie’s Heroes campaign has raised an incredible €642,662.9 for four Irish children’s charities: Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, ISPCC Childline, Down Syndrome Ireland and Cancer Fund for Children 💚  The latest fundraising total brings the amount raised through Woodie’s Heroes since its launch in 2015 to more than €5.3 million, thanks to the continued generosity of Woodie’s colleagues, customers and suppliers across Ireland. The €642,662.9 raised in 2026 will be split equally between our four charity partners, helping them continue their vital work and make a real difference to families across Ireland. The funds will support assistance dog training and family support programmes, ISPCC Childline’s confidential listening service for children and young people, early years speech and language support for children with Down syndrome, and emotional and therapeutic support for children and young people affected by cancer and their families. A special thank you to our 2026 Woodie’s Heroes ambassadors for sharing their personal stories and helping us highlight the life-changing work of our four charity partners. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together through Woodie’s Heroes.  Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign this year 💚 #WoodiesHeroes #Woodies #IrishCharities #Community #GivingBack
