Thank you to Mental Health Reform for hosting yesterday's Invest in Hope event. It was valuable to join together with NGO partners and people with lived experience to explore how investing in hope can strengthen mental health outcomes, especially during challenging times. The discussion reinforced the importance of turning hope into action, including greater investment in mental health services. The proposal to allocate 7% of health spending to mental health would be a meaningful step in that direction. The panel conversation with Depaul Ireland, Barnardos Ireland, Kyrie Farm, and Mental Health Ireland touched on many of the issues that matter most to MyMind: early intervention, timely person-centred care, accessible and affordable services, and social inclusion. These are important conversations, and we're glad to have been part of them. #InvestInHope #Budget2027

MyMind is offering 6 free sessions to any man aged 18 or over in Ireland who is experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. Our sincere thanks go to the Health Service Executive and Minister for Mental Health, Mary Butler TD for making this vital project possible as part of €2M in additional funding for men’s mental health. We are delighted to share that this fully-funded support can now be accessed through self-referral, starting today. No referral by a GP or medical professional is needed, with sessions available in-person from 11 locations across Ireland and online through video. We know that taking the first step can be a challenge, and work to make the process as easy as possible. Our page at https://lnkd.in/dDcSfact contains everything needed to access this free support, along with a video series on what to expect when starting talk therapies. All shares are hugely appreciated and help to spread awareness for this initiative, while also encouraging men to seek timely, professional mental health support. Thank you from all the team at MyMind! #mensmentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mymind
