welcome to wikipedia SERVER ROOM
all the articles are online for FREEEEEE!

I created my first acccount on a Wikimedia project (Danish Wikipedia) in 2012, and started editing in earnest in 2014. I have held various roles on the Danish Wikipedia – namely as administrator for a duration of seven years – and in Wikimedia Denmark. These days I'm not as active as I once was due to other commitments, but I still poke my head in from time to time.

Notability

[edit]

One of the more "metapedian" projects I have worked on in recent years is arguing for a reform to the Danish Wikipedia notability guidelines. Critics of the notability guidelines are often accused of wanting to allow articles about everything and anything on Wikipedia – but my criticism is not about the existence of the guidelines per se, but rather that their current form doesn't really result in much predictability about what topics are deemed notable (except those on positive lists) and result in arbitrary assessments of notability. I have argued that the Danish Wikipedia should instead adopt a guideline a la the on on the English Wikipedia, where notability is defined in a way that supports compliance with other Wikipedia content policies and guidelines.

My central arguments can be found in this presentation, which I have also presented live.
