US death-infused funeral doom of the highest order. Chiming clean guitar leads over heavy, wretchedly depressed riffage, funereal keyboards, reverberating drums, and dejected vocals. In a music scene lousy with uninteresting doom bands, Evoken have been and continue to be a shining beacon of inspired misery.
