Steam Users
The Steam PC Café Program enables PC Cafés, Schools, Libraries, and other organizations to let customers and students use their own Steam accounts onsite while also giving them access to any games or software purchased by the organization for use by end users. Any licenses provided by the organization will appear in your Steam Library, under a special "From [site name]" category.
For some organizations, such as schools, it also allows them to restrict the content which may be played when using the provided gaming PCs. This means that some titles in your Steam Library may not be playable when you are logged on in that environment.
The Café Program also provides the organization with anonymized data on what Steam games and software are used while on their network. They can use this information to help make decisions about what games to offer, for example. This tracking will only be done while you are logged in to Steam at the site.
Note that the above only applies if the organization allows you to login, directly, to your own Steam account. For some locations, such as VR Arcades, they typically use their own set of accounts to provide access to games. In those situations, there is no exchange or connection made between the organization's system and your Steam account.
