About Us
“A Community Connected” … the Town of Algoma has an estimated population of 7,000. It is conveniently located along Highways 41 and 21 and is the City of Oshkosh’s western border. Primarily residential and agricultural in composition, the Town of Algoma is serviced by one of the finest Volunteer Fire Departments and First Responder Units in the state. Recreational opportunities abound with community parks and recreation areas. Lake Butte des Morts serves as the Town’s northern border and a public landing with fishing pier provides access to nearby Fox River and Lake Winnebago. The WIOUWASH bicycle/snowmobile trail is also located within a few miles of the Town. With the Town of Algoma’s close proximity to Oshkosh, Town residents can enjoy quieter living with access to large city amenities, including outstanding public and private schools, churches of most denominations, excellent medical facilities, several shopping venues, a wide range of services, and many fine restaurants.
