Sun’s out, fun’s out. Frieze week is always blessed with good weather, which keeps everybody in a good mood. That is important, because you don’t want to present out-of-towners a gloomy outlook, atmospherically and economically. This mission was once again accomplished last week; with over eight fairs scattered across central London, hundreds of exhibitions, parties and four Contemporary art evening auctions that fetched a hammer total of £226.9million (+29.4% y.o.y), there was virtually something for everyone. Margaret Hong reports what she witnessed, experienced, and done during one of the busiest weeks in the contemporary art industry in London.
