UK Modern Slavery Statement 2025
For the financial year ending 31 December 2025; issued by Condé Nast Holdings Limited and its UK subsidiaries
This statement is made on behalf of Condé Nast Holdings Limited ("CNHL") and its UK subsidiaries, including (The) Condé Nast Publications Limited (collectively, “Condé Nast UK”), under section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, for the financial year ending 31 December 2025. It updates our statement for the year ending 31 December 2024.
Our Organisation
Our business in the UK is part of Condé Nast, a global media company home to iconic brands including Vogue, GQ, AD, Condé Nast Traveler, Vanity Fair, Wired, The New Yorker, Glamour, Allure, Bon Appétit and many more. Headquartered in New York and London, we produce award-winning journalism, content, and entertainment read and watched around the world.
Our Commitment
We hold ourselves to an ethical standard, and we pride ourselves on respecting individuals, treating people fairly, regardless of gender, race, nationality, religion, or orientation, and building systems designed to prevent modern slavery from our business and our supply chains.
Our Condé Code commits us to six values, among them "Earn Trust". We believe that trust is built, not claimed, and that acting with integrity is what allows our journalism to reach further and resonate wider.
Our Business Principles, which translate those values into practice for every employee, full-time, part-time, or temporary. Among them, "Doing Business in the Right Way" sets a zero-tolerance line on modern slavery - a line our Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy enforces.
In 2025, we updated our global policy suite, including the Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy, ahead of an integrated early 2026 launch, and we placed modern slavery firmly inside our wider compliance and governance program.
Risk Assessment
We've mapped the areas most likely to carry a risk for modern slavery across our markets, and worked to mitigate what we find inside our suppliers' operations:
- Paper suppliers and the labour standards they hold themselves to, in their own operations and further up their supply chain;
- Distribution and licensing partners for our magazines and brands;
- Suppliers of Condé Nast branded merchandise, and the model and recruiting agencies whose workforce appears in and contributes to our pages;
- Event management and hospitality suppliers, along with the employees and contractors they engage to deliver our events.
Due Diligence & Procurement
Procurement, Business & Legal Affairs and the business teams work together to confirm suppliers meet our Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy before we engage them. Every supplier passes through due diligence in our onboarding tool, answering targeted modern slavery questions and submitting supporting documentation.
Procurement and Business & Legal Affairs jointly ensure modern slavery protections are written into our standard contract templates.
Our People
Employees
Condé Nast UK pays and offers benefits to people at or above what regulation requires, and ensures that interns are paid and treated fairly. Treatment of our employees is underpinned by our Condé Code and Business Principles, which set out obligations for the company and for employees alike. The Condé Code is available on our website here.
Contractors
Agency workers, contractors, consultants, and freelancers who support our work go through the same onboarding due diligence as any supplier, with modern slavery questions built in, assessing risk before engagement.
We treat young models and creative-industry workers under 18 as a distinct risk category. Our Content Production & Shoot Guidelines, which were updated in 2025, set a specific framework and specific restrictions for working with models under 18.
Anyone, including employees, contractors, and third parties, can raise a concern through our anonymous, confidential Hotline, found here.
Training
All employees complete the mandatory Business Principles training as part of onboarding and annually thereafter. This training is integrated into Condé Core, our suite of mandatory e-learning modules covering Business Principles, Global Data Privacy, Cyber Security, and AI Literacy & Responsible Use. Modern slavery awareness is embedded within this connected curriculum, reinforcing it alongside the core principles, responsibilities, and standards we expect all our people to understand and uphold.
Next Steps
We're continuing enhanced due diligence on potential licensees, keeping our third-party due diligence tool central to supplier engagement, and updating our policies as risk and our processes evolve.
Approval
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of CNHL, on behalf of itself and its subsidiary (The) Condé Nast Publications Limited. Our approach to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 is reviewed annually.
