OUR 5-YEAR COMMITMENT
Help mobilize 10 million people to put teens at the center of the future AI will shape.
#HalfTheStory is building national civic infrastructure for youth voice in AI, equipping teens to shape the policies, products, and educational systems that will define their future and help them flourish as humans.
Are you in?

Through our Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action, #HalfTheStory is advancing a five-year effort (2027–2031) to reach 10 million people, building on a decade of youth-centered programming that has already trained 70+ youth leaders across 13 regions in New York and reached more than 17,000 students, with California launching as the second flagship state.
The commitment will engage communities through schools, youth-serving organizations, media, and storytelling, moving people from awareness to action to advocacy at scale. It will also scale the Teen Tech Council nationally, connect trained youth leaders directly to policymakers through a National Summit, and build durable infrastructure, not just individual programs, for youth voice in AI.
From product creation to regulation, #HalfTheStory connects technology and policy with the lived experiences of young people to support their wellbeing in the AI age.
We learned our lesson with social media. Now we’re building national infrastructure for teen voice in AI starting in New York and California, and scaling nationwide.

The Teen Tech Council is #HalfTheStory’s youth leadership initiative, designed to help young people build healthier relationships with technology and take an active role in shaping the digital world around them.
As part of #HalfTheStory’s CGI Commitment to Action, the Teen Tech Council will help expand youth voices with the tools, language, and opportunities to move from awareness to action to advocacy.
Through the Council, teens tackle statewide challenges in AI and responsible tech, train in design thinking, meet legislators, and launch community projects building on New York’s network of 70+ trained youth leaders across 13 regions, reaching 17,000+ students, with California launching as the second flagship state. This work supports #HalfTheStory’s goal to reach 10 million people by 2031.
#HalfTheStory is inviting values-aligned, bold funding partners to join our vision of a world where young people shape technology, not the other way around.
If you are ready to make a personal contribution, we would be thrilled to have your support here.
