The Adolescent Health Study is a major new research project that aims to recruit 100,000 UK volunteers aged 8-18 years
About us
The Adolescent Health Study is a major new research project focused on understanding how young people grow and develop during their teenage years and the effects on their future health and wellbeing. Supported by £60 million from UK Research and Innovation, the study aims to recruit 100,000 volunteers aged 8-18 years from across the UK, following their health and wellbeing for at least 10 years. The study is in early development. We’re speaking to young people, the public and experts to find out how best to run the study, considering matters such as data security, consent, confidentiality, safeguarding and diversity.

❓ What’s in a name? In the first of a new blog series, Joel Winston looks at the journey to becoming Project Youth, including how we tested name options with more than 3,000 young people, parents and carers from a range of backgrounds. Read the story behind our new name, what we found out by listening to our audiences, and how it guided our decisions. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eghPNYbe Thanks to Josephine Hansom and Red Stone for their work leading the name development and testing stage of our re-brand.

🎉 We’re so excited to unveil our new name and identity! ‘Project Youth’ is now the study’s working name, supported by a new visual identity and website. The new brand was created through an extensive development and testing process. More than 3,000 young people, parents and carers shared their views on potential names, straplines and visual identities, helping to shape the final result. The outcome is a clearer, more engaging and accessible identity that will help us connect with young people across the UK and build confidence among parents and carers. 👉 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/e_jVn3Np 🌐And take a peek at our new website at www.projectyouth.org.uk which we'll be transitioning to over the coming months. Many thanks to UK Research and Innovation for supporting this work, and all the input from Red Stone, Josephine Hansom and Helena Traill.
