Today is Medical Assistants Recognition Day. Medical Assistants are the unsung heroes of the American healthcare system. Before you see the provider, they get you settled, take your vitals, answer your questions, and handle all the paper work to ensure all patients get their medication, but they rarely get the recognition they deserve. Forus supports thousands of Medical Assistants who help millions of patients get the help they need. Our provider team stopped by our partner practices with treats and a thank you for the MAs we get to work with. To every MA: thank you for the work you do, today and every day. #MedicalAssistants #MARWeek

At Forus, we’re building a faster, simpler path from prescription to treatment. On October 28, our founder and CEO, Sahir Jaggi, will join Health Tech Nerds' Martin Cech to discuss what happens after a specialty medicine is prescribed and how we’re helping more patients receive their first dose. They’ll explore where access breaks down, the roles of specialty pharmacies and PBMs, and how AI can make the process work better for patients. Register here: https://luma.com/esq5dfy6

Last night we hosted a housewarming for our new office on Wooster St in SoHo. We had ~200 friends of Forus join us to celebrate, including many already interviewing, others just starting to look around, and former founders figuring out what’s next. Forus is at a true inflection point, rapidly expanding across the country to serve partners ranging from pediatric cancer wards to the fastest growing biotechs. We are limited only by capacity to take on the unprecedented opportunity in front of us. We are looking for high horsepower and hyper resourceful doers who can drive new customers, markets, and products. If you want to help us accelerate a new era of American medicine, please get in touch: https://forus.com/company

As we continue growing, we’re rethinking how we find exceptional people. Our first BDR Super Day was one experiment in bringing great candidates and our team together in a more thoughtful, hands-on way. It won’t be the last. We’re growing our team and looking for people who are excited to learn quickly and help build something meaningful!
This weekend, we hosted our first BDR Super Day at Forus. We invited candidates to Forus HQ, worked through real-world scenarios, coached them through those conversations, and discussed how they adapted. GTM at Forus takes judgment, adaptability, and the ability to earn someone’s attention quickly. Seeing those skills in action gave us a much clearer sense of how candidates think and work than virtual interviews alone - which is what made the Super Day so valuable. Our team is hiring across all GTM roles, including AEs, BDRs, and Enterprise sellers. I’m excited about the people we met on Sunday, and we’re already moving forward with several candidates. If you’re interested in joining us, send me a message.

You probably didn't know about Forus a year ago. And just this month, they raised $150M at a $3B valuation. So… how? And why? When a new medicine launches in the US, nearly two-thirds of the prescriptions written in its first year never get filled. That’s mostly because it gets stuck in a bunch of red tape (prior auths, verifications, appeals) before it reaches the patient. This is, of course, bad! Forus gives each prescription its own AI agent that works the case until the patient actually starts treatment. Doctors and patients pay nothing. Providers in all 50 states use it, and nine of the top fifteen global biopharma companies are customers. Plus - all of their existing institutional investors participated in their latest round. They're about 100 people in NYC with around 50 roles open. Full essay: https://lnkd.in/gt3hZnGE Thanks to Sahir Jaggi, Andrew Beinstein, Ishaan Radia, Annie Hu, and others for chatting with us about Forus.

A model can be 95% confident and still be wrong because the world changed. That is what makes pharmacy selection such an interesting problem. Payer-pharmacy networks can change without notice, the relevant context may be spread across insurance details, PA letters, clinical notes, and patient messages. And we may not discover a wrong routing for days, while a patient waits for medication. Our team built five versions of this system. We moved from deterministic rules to XGBoost, then added time-weighted routing evidence and LLM extractors. Today, an agent can weigh conflicting signals, investigate, and escalate. I wrote about what we tried, what failed, and what we learned along the way: https://lnkd.in/g68tP9ji Pharmacy selection is one of many agent problems we are working on at Forus, where information is fragmented, facts change, and wrong decisions have real consequences. If this kind of work interests you, we’re hiring at Forus across research, ML, and data.

Medication access support is only useful if it can keep up with the practice it serves. Before working with Forus, Nicole Ringwood, Director of Nursing at Borland Groover, had tried multiple pharmacy solutions. As prescription volume grew, each eventually narrowed or pulled back the support it could provide. In the latest episode of Gastro Broadcast, Nicole joins Dr. Michael Weinstein and our CEO, Sahir Jaggi, to discuss what GI practices should look for in a medication access partner – and what changed at Borland Groover with support across prior authorizations, appeals, financial assistance, and overall patient access. Nicole’s advice: “Don’t just ask what the partner does. Ask what your clinical team will no longer have to be doing.” Watch the clip below, and listen to the full podcast: https://lnkd.in/ejqjq4aN Thank you to Gastro Broadcast and Borland Groover for the conversation.
