About us
La Raza Community Resource Center is a bilingual, multi-service, non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the social service, immigration, educational, and leadership development needs of low-income families and individuals. Our mission is to serve as a bridge between San Francisco and Spanish-speaking immigrant families, with direct support and advocacy, to ensure Latino & Indigenous immigrant communities can access resources, realize their power, and thrive. The majority of La Raza CRC participants are Spanish-speaking families and individuals of all ages, living in the Mission District of San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. We also serve a diverse body of individuals from the vast and various ethnic groups in the community, providing city wide services and food access from our office in Centro Del Pueblo, a facility that houses several non-profit agencies.

Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day means recognizing both the genocidal harm of colonization and the resilience of communities whose cultures, languages, and traditions endure. Across the Americas, today’s observances, such as Día de los Pueblos Indígenas, Día de la Raza, and Indigenous Resistance Day, offer space to reflect on history, and on our responsibility to one another today. As a non-profit in San Francisco’s American Indian Cultural District SF (AICD), we’re proud to join their 16th Street Community Visions Series, bringing local merchants, service organizations, and cultural organizations to help shape the future of the 16th Street corridor and BART plazas. Join us to keep the conversation about indigenous heritage alive on 16th St: Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2026 Time: 12:00–2:00 PM Location: Centro del Pueblo Auditorium, Second Floor, 474 Valencia St. San Francisco RSVP: https://lnkd.in/gfdPn4Ki At La Raza CRC, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, and are committed to amplifying their voices and advocating for justice in San Francisco. Together, we can achieve our vision for a community where we thrive together, with equitable opportunity, justice, and hope in mind.

What a day! La Raza CRC was proud to connect with San Francisco families at this year’s City Kids Family Fair in The Mission, hosted by Children's Council of San Francisco 💛 Our staff and volunteers had the opportunity to meet parents, caregivers, and little ones while sharing information about the support and services available to families in our community. From housing resources & helpful referrals to free giveaways, we were honored to take part in a day dedicated to helping children and families thrive. We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our table, said hello, and learned more about the resources available through La Raza CRC! Learn more & join us: www.larazacrc.org

Mil gracias to our allies at Calle 24 Latino Cultural District for hosting this year’s Fiesta de las Américas! Earlier this month, La Raza CRC was proud to join families, neighbors, local organizations, and small businesses in San Francisco’s Mission District for a massive celebration featuring delicious food, live performances, and connections to community services. Events like Fiesta de las Américas give us a meaningful opportunity to meet community members where they are, allowing us to share resources and information about accessing crucial family support services, including affordable-housing assistance. We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our table and to Calle 24 for creating space for our community to connect in the heart of the Latino Cultural District!

Laughter is a medicine that helps us all! We’re deeply grateful to Laughs with Benefits, a local non-profit raising money for community causes through comedy, for dedicating proceeds from their recent Comedy Night to support La Raza CRC. Featuring Thelonious Johnson, Mari Delgadillo, and Bailey Miller, the event brought people together for an evening of generosity, community, and lighthearted laughter. In the midst of urgent and often difficult work, we were so honored to be part of a lighthearted night that supported our services and delivered smiles to our team, and all in attendance ♥️ A special thank-you to Mayes Oyster House at 1233 Polk Street for generously hosting the event in downtown San Francisco! Today is Citizenship Day, and we’re recognizing the everyday courage and resilience of immigrants in their U.S. citizenship journey, and especially here in San Francisco. San Francisco’s history is deeply connected to the fabric of modern American citizenship, rooted in the landmark 1898 U.S. Supreme Court case, United States v. Wong Kim Ark, which affirmed that children born in the U.S. to immigrant parents are automatic citizens under the 14th Amendment. As a member of the SF Pathways to Citizenship Initiative, we are proud to support Spanish-speaking immigrant families with free, culturally responsive immigration legal support. In the spirit of belonging and opportunity, we celebrate our nation's newest citizens and all immigrant families pursuing a future defined by dignity, stability, and hope, and defended by Thank you to our dedicated staff, partners, and community members who make this impactful work possible every day. Together, we are building a more inclusive future. 🤝 #CitizenshipDay #Naturalization #SanFrancisco

RV-housing saves families from living on the street. Across the state, families have turned to RVs to survive sky-high rents, avoiding crowded shelter beds and aging single-room units. In LA County, 39% of unhoused people live in their vehicles. In Alameda County, it's over half. AB 647 would allow more than 100 local agencies across California to tow and destroy RVs deemed "abandoned", without defining what "abandoned" means. Under AB 647, a day away from an RV-home for work, medical care, or a family emergency could become a life-changing (and expensive) legal decision, with no guarantee of getting that home back. The decision now rests with Governor Newsom. He can veto this bill. La Raza CRC has joined more than 40 organizations, including ACLU California Action and Housing California, in formally requesting a veto. We're asking our network to add their voice too. Read our letter to the Governor below, which we signed alongside ACLU SoCal and dozens of allies across California. We represent our city’s vulnerable, and we’re calling for the rejection of AB 647
