Stablecoins are opening up new ways to move value around the world. Making those experiences secure and trusted is what will help them grow. Today, we announced Stablecoin Security, a new solution that brings payment and blockchain intelligence together to help give financial institutions a clearer view of risk. Together with Borderless.xyz and Keyrails, we’re helping identify risk throughout the stablecoin payment lifecycle, including before funds move on-chain.   New payment rails are emerging. Security, trust and transparency need to evolve with them. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gNxqMtPD #Stablecoins #DigitalAssets #Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity has traditionally been viewed as protection. Today, SMEs are increasingly seeing it as a growth enabler. Mastercard's Dreamonomics: The new economics of small business growth report found that 71% of SMEs prioritize protection from cyber threats, while 70% are excited about AI's potential for business growth. Meanwhile, among SMEs already using premium solutions, 50% are interested in AI-powered fraud and security protection while 39% of those using premium are interested in cybersecurity services, software and risk assessment tools from their financial provider   As businesses become more digital, trust becomes more valuable. And trust starts with confidence that systems, data and payments remain protected. Explore the findings: https://lnkd.in/gTre33tW

Businesses today operate across an increasingly complex mix of payment networks, currencies and digital assets. That's why we're launching Mastercard Global Money Platform, our first major product launch with BVNK. It brings together multi-currency accounts, global money movement and stablecoins capabilities in a single experience. With Global Money Platform, banks, fintechs and enterprises can:   • STORE fiat and stablecoins side by side, in custodial or self-custody wallets, with real-time conversion and rewards on eligible balances. • SEND stablecoins and local currency globally, with payouts to local bank accounts through Mastercard Move, expanding across 40+ currencies and 200+ markets through 2027. • SPEND stablecoin balances anywhere Mastercard is accepted, with stablecoin-linked cards coming in 2027.   We believe the future of commerce will be built on interoperability across multiple forms of money, and Global Money Platform is an important step toward that future. "The magic is coming to all the other rails." At Sibos, Raj Dhamodharan and Johan Gerber discussed how the payments landscape is evolving beyond individual rails to support all forms of money. As cards, account-to-account payments and digital assets continue to grow, the opportunity is to connect them in ways that reduce friction, expand choice, and help more people and businesses participate in the digital economy. Their conversation explores why interoperability matters and what it will take to power commerce in a multi-money world. One week from #RiskX Arizona, the conversations are still resonating. Over several days, leaders across cybersecurity, fraud, identity, intelligence and commerce came together around a shared ambition: building the trust that helps innovation thrive. A few takeaways from the mainstage: • Trust and innovation go hand in hand. Ann Johnson and Linda Kirkpatrick explored how building both together can help businesses move forward with confidence. • Better intelligence leads to better outcomes. Across RiskX leaders explored how AI, threat intelligence and collaboration can help organizations stay ahead of risk. • AI’s potential depends on trust. As AI agents begin to shop, buy and transact on our behalf, Greg Ulrich and Levi Gundert discussed what it will take to make these experiences secure, transparent and reliable. • Fighting fraud takes a team effort. Seckin Yilgoren, Adam Evans, Hari Jayaram and Ann Johnson explored how businesses can build a more connected approach to fighting scams and digital crime. • The intelligence edge is about looking forward. From agentic commerce to cyber resilience, RiskX challenged us to think differently about risk and the opportunities that emerge when trust is built in from the start. We also expanded Mastercard Agent Pay with new trust and intelligence services, helping bring greater context and visibility to AI-driven transactions as agentic commerce evolves. As Cybersecurity Awareness Month gets underway, we're building on that momentum. Because when trust is built in, people and businesses are better positioned to embrace bold ideas, take on new opportunities and look forward to what’s next. #RiskX2026 #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #DigitalTrust #Cybersecurity #AI

"I'm able to access better markets, which increases my income. So my family benefits because it has really helped me grow financially." That is how Edwin Silma, a farmer in the Ainabkoi co-operative in Kenya, described the impact of the Mobilizing Access to the Digital Economy (MADE) Alliance: Africa. The MADE Alliance brings together private, public and civil sector organizations to coordinate execution of their programs in the same communities, multiplying and sustaining impact. In Kenya, that is coming to fruition through an initiative with MADE Alliance partners Microsoft and Kenya National Farmers' Federation, alongside collaborating partner Mawingu, to help transform agricultural cooperatives into community digital hubs. Through a pilot across 13 cooperatives, the MADE Alliance has reached more than 10,000 farmers, with early results showing what is possible when communities gain access to the digital economy: • 62% of farmers anecdotally reported higher monthly income after gaining digital access • Cooperatives with digitized farmer records saw a 3% increase in credit limits • 100% of connected cooperatives reported improved day-to-day operations And this is just the beginning. Building on the first three MADE services from Mastercard, Microsoft and KENAFF, the MADE Alliance is expanding from the initial 13 cooperatives to more than 100 sites across Kenya, with credit and de-risking as the next services to come.
