Support is hard to shop for before you need it. In a new U.S. News & World Report survey of 1,251 GLP-1 telehealth patients, just 4% ranked lifestyle support as their top priority when choosing a platform – yet among respondents who switched platforms, 36% cited lack of support as a reason. It’s easier to compare prices than to judge how helpful a program will be three months in. What happens when side effects interrupt your routine? When stress changes how you eat? When you need help figuring out what to do next? As Noom’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jeffrey Egler, tells reporter Annika Urban Kronman: “I think of engagement as a vital sign.” For us, that means looking at whether members are finding support useful in their daily lives. Are they getting help with the challenges they’re facing? Are they building habits they can maintain? When engagement drops, what could make it easier to reconnect? The main takeaway aligns closely with Noom’s approach: ongoing behavioral support deserves more attention when people evaluate GLP-1 care. Thank you to Annika for including Noom’s perspective. We know how to measure weight loss. Now we’re starting to measure a better life. At last week’s STAT Summit in Boston, our SVP of Product, Alexander Fabry, explained how. For years, Noom has measured weight loss and healthcare savings. But our mission to help everyone, everywhere live better, longer demands that we look beyond the scale. That’s why we combine behavioral science, clinical care, medication when appropriate, and personalized support: to help people build healthier lives, not just reach a number on the scale. Helping people live better, longer means holding ourselves accountable for both the number and the life behind it. Alexander shares how our research team is measuring health-related quality of life alongside weight loss, and what early results are telling us. Thank you to STAT for the opportunity to share this work. #STATSummit #LiveBetterLonger #DigitalHealth #BehaviorChange #Noom

We recently debuted a new PSA-style ad to alert GLP-1 patients to a startling (and spooky!) concept: Weight Regain Doesn’t Care. It’s a playful way to introduce a critical concern people may not consider when starting treatment: weight can return after medication stops, making healthy habits an important part of supporting long-term health. Noom CEO Geoff Cook joined MM+M’s Jack O'Brien to discuss the spot and its place in our Lose for Keeps campaign. They cover why we’re putting more emphasis on the support that accompanies medication, including helping people build and maintain healthier habits. Thanks to Jack and MM+M - Medical Marketing and Media for having Geoff back to talk about the story behind the spot. Listen to the conversation: https://lnkd.in/gd_DY85D #GLP1 #BehaviorChange

Our Senior Vice President of Product, Alexander Fabry, will speak at STAT Summit in Boston about how Noom has moved beyond measuring individual outcomes to measuring the mission itself. Tune in with Alexander tomorrow at 10:00 AM ET. ➡️ There’s still time to register: https://lnkd.in/gkdnCpYx #STATSummit #LiveBetterLonger #BehaviorChange #Noom

The health landscape is changing fast. At Noom, behavior change remains at the heart of what we do. At Advertising Week New York, our Chief Marketing Officer Peter Scherr and Chief Brand Officer Rachel Mahoney shared how that commitment shapes our brand, from the support we offer members to the stories we tell. ➡️ Health Has Entered Its Most Influential Era “Health is everywhere now,” Peter shared in a conversation with leaders from Digitas Health, Publicis Health, and AbbVie. As AI, wearables, and new treatments expand what’s possible, he explored the opportunity to help people make sense of their health information and turn it into meaningful changes in everyday life. ➡️ Noom’s Formula for Lasting Transformation Rachel joined ADWEEK Executive Editor Alison Weissbrot for a look at the next chapter of our Lose for Keeps campaign. Through Rebel’s story and our members’ experiences, the conversation explored how honest, relatable storytelling can reflect the realities of getting healthier, including the imperfections, and why support alongside medication matters. ➡️ Building Brands with Main Character Energy At Brand Innovators, Rachel joined leaders from Mekanism, Whataburger, and Canvas Worldwide to discuss what it takes to stand out in a crowded market. She spoke about staying grounded in what Noom stands for while making room for creative risks that bring our message to new audiences. Thank you to our hosts and fellow panelists for the thoughtful conversations, and to the Noom team whose work we were proud to share this week. What happens if I stop taking a GLP-1?  In our new PSA, even the Roomba has something to say about it.  “Weight Regain Doesn’t Care” is the latest in our “Lose for Keeps” campaign. The spot uses dark humor to address a real concern: weight regain after stopping medication. It’s why building healthy habits alongside GLP-1 treatment is central to Noom’s approach. At Noom, we help people build healthy habits alongside GLP-1 treatment to support lasting weight loss. Weight regain doesn’t care. But Noom does! Health is no longer confined to the doctor’s office. It shapes how people eat, sleep, move, age, work, shop and make everyday decisions—and that creates a much bigger mandate for the organizations trying to reach them. In this open dialogue at ADWEEK House: Advertising HQ, this group of healthcare leaders unpacked what modern transformation actually requires. They explored how AI can create meaningful value versus unnecessary complexity; how connected data can lead to smarter, more personalized experiences; how changing discovery behaviors are reshaping the consumer journey; and where behavioral science and creativity can turn insight into action. Weight loss is about more than just the number on the scale — it’s also about how you feel. In The Atlantic, Mikala Jamison explores the relationship between weight loss and mental health, and why emotional wellbeing deserves more attention as GLP-1s reshape weight care. At Noom, that idea isn’t new. Psychology and behavior change have long shaped how we support our members. That includes helping people manage stress, understand their relationship with food, and make room for moments of calm in everyday life. That’s why we’re building experiences that go beyond food and the scale. The Atlantic highlights Noom’s Mindful Art Break, which invites members to pause with works of art and reflect. As one member shared in the piece, it helped them “contemplate something other than weight loss.” It’s just one way we’re making emotional wellbeing part of the everyday Noom experience, alongside tools like breathwork and meditation. Supporting lasting change means paying attention to the whole person, including their emotional wellbeing. Thanks to Mikala C. J. for exploring this connection and including Noom in the conversation.
