Some lawyers assume that using AI well requires technical skills they don’t have. CJ Mahoney of Cleary Gottlieb and Ankur Malik of Clifford Chance, both 2026 #AIVisionaries, make the case that the opposite is closer to true. Today’s tools run on natural language prompting, and crafting precise, probing questions is already core to the job, whether that’s a cross-examination, a deposition, or a set of interrogatories. Prompting is that same skill in a new medium. On the Relativity Blog, they talk through how to build confidence through testing, how to make AI work traceable from the start, and how to have the conversation with a client who isn’t sold yet. On that last point, CJ recommends leading with how you’re mitigating risk and helping clients see that their existing processes aren’t risk free either. 🔗 Read the post: https://ow.ly/ansy5100bhm #LegalAI #LegalTech

One legal matter might involve 1,000 documents. Another might involve 71 million. The right AI approach needs to work for both. Earlier this year, Array and Relativity brought together legal tech experts for our AI & Legal Tech Forecast webinar. Julia Helmer, Vice President of Advisory and Analytics at Array, shared why choosing the right tools depends on the matter, its complexity, and what you’re trying to accomplish. The goal isn’t to use the biggest tool. It’s to find the right tool for the job. As we approach the final months of 2026, watch the on-demand webinar to revisit our experts’ predictions and see how they’re playing out across the legal industry: https://lnkd.in/grtXhhfs #LegalTech #AI #eDiscovery #LegalInnovation #Relativity #TrustArray

When a major investigation left McDermott Will & Schulte with 724,000 documents and a weekend to prepare for Monday custodian interviews, the standard playbook wasn't going to work. With support from KPMG's Relativity experts, the team turned to Assist, conversational AI built directly into #RelativityaiR. Instead of working through the data linearly, they asked questions of it directly, drilled into the documents behind each answer, validated results in real time, and let each finding shape the next query. By the end of the weekend, KPMG reported that Assist helped surface 31 critical documents directly from the team's queries, with an additional 137 documents supporting the broader picture. KPMG managed the wider review concurrently, ensuring full coverage while the McDermott team focused on building the interview record. By Monday, the legal team had document-grounded outlines for every interview. "Assist in Relativity aiR helped us cut through 724,000 documents over a single weekend and walk into each custodian interview on Monday prepared. It changes what's possible under pressure." — Brigid McCarthy, Partner, McDermott Will & Schulte LLP #LegalAI #LegalTech

Ten years ago, a large matter might have been 50,000 documents. Today that’s a small matter, and Array's largest has topped 70 million. On the Relativity blog, we sat down with Julia Helmer, JD, vice president of advisory and analytics at Array, and Eric Wendt, senior product manager at Relativity, to talk through what that shift has meant for processing. Julia walks through the practical gains her team has seen, like processing UFDR cell phone data directly instead of losing a day or more sending it out for conversion and reading the Google Metadata Sidecar file so case teams don’t lose the version history and access details that can matter to proving a case. The question used to be whether you could process 20 million documents. Now it’s what you can learn from them. 🔗 Read the conversation: https://ow.ly/jFgn50ZZ96H #LegalAI #LegalTech
