Climate change is terrible. But working on the solutions could be delightful. Our fantastic Climate Week NYC event featured a live Science Friday taping with Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. In this clip, alongside host Flora Lichtman, Ayana talks about why we need to do a better job explaining that climate solutions can be fun and gratifying — and pitches a new tagline for climate work. Listen to the full conversation soon on the Science Friday podcast. This event took place at Symphony Space and was supported by Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), The Wilderness Society, Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation, and University of Washington College of the Environment

Are you curious about vermicomposting? Try this! Vermicomposting means composting with worms. They help speed up the process and you get to have a team of tiny recyclers working for you. Science Friday has a new educational resource to walk you through creating your own worm farm at home or in the classroom. This free resource also has worksheets, suggested questions, and videos to keep kids engaged. Check it out on our website! https://lnkd.in/egdC_X6H With a worm bin, you can watch one of Earth’s recycling systems in action and help keep food waste out of landfills. Leave a comment if you want to try this!

Who was at Podcast Movement in NYC? 🙋 🙋♂️ 🙋♀️ Our own Flora Lichtman joined Brittany Luse from NPR's It's Been A Minute and Valentina Powers from WNYC to chat about “Tips and Tricks for Building Podcast Audience.” It was a great reminder of how much we can learn from each other in this space. Thank you to everyone who came out and said hello!
