I was so inspired today, witnessing underserved communities across New York receive high-quality, nutritious plant-based meals. A hot meal to eat on the spot and fresh produce to take home to their families. That combination is transformative. Maggie Baird's leadership is inspiring. She and the Support+Feed team do this consistently, in cities all across America. Thank you, Maggie and the whole Support+Feed team. ⭕ Global Citizen will keep growing a network of volunteers to support this work, so more families get the food they need to thrive.

  • New York Climate Week 2026🌏⭐️ It was a week full of community, optimism, and crucial conversations on the future of our food systems, striving for a livable planet, and collective action. In addition to farmers markets, food distributions, and our fundraising event, our wonderful founder Maggie Baird participated in multiple panels touching on all those topics, as well as sustainability in music. She spoke in conversations at Axios, Columbia University, Food Tank, TED Conferences, and the The New York Times🎙️ To read a more in depth recap about all these events, check out our blog here: https://lnkd.in/gj-GHhTq

  • We’re grateful to share that Support+Feed has received a third round of funding from Kaiser Permanente to help sustain the Bell Gardens Free Farmers’ Market and continue expanding access to fresh produce in the community💚🥕 This work would not be possible without the dedicated support of Food Forward Inc. and the City of Bell Gardens. We’re also incredibly thankful to the WME staff who volunteered their time to help make fresh produce more accessible to the community. Together, we’re building a more equitable and nourishing food system.

New Orleans restaurants are facing the annual "Summer Slump" (May–October) - a seasonal drop in business driven by extreme heat, hurricane risks, and a decline in tourism and convention travel. Many small restaurants see business fall by as much as 30%, forcing them to reduce hours, temporarily close, or find new ways to stay afloat. If you're in New Orleans, your support matters now more than ever. Small restaurants are navigating the city's annual summer slowdown, and every meal makes a difference💚 Visit one of our Support+Feed restaurant partners to enjoy delicious, planet-friendly food while supporting a local business: ⭐️I-Tal Garden NOLA (https://lnkd.in/ggxbDRFq) ⭐️Voodoo Vegan (https://lnkd.in/gGQHE3nn) ⭐️Breads on Oak (https://lnkd.in/g4whS4kM) ⭐️Lamara Coffee and Kitchen (https://lnkd.in/g6PeZYeA) ⭐️1000 Figs (https://1000figs.com/)

  • Summer break shouldn't mean going hungry. When school lets out for summer, child hunger rises dramatically. Millions of children lose access to the breakfasts, lunches, and after-school meals they rely on during the school year. At the same time, families are feeling the strain of rising grocery costs, making it even harder to put nutritious food on the table📈 Without consistent access to nourishing meals, children are at greater risk of setbacks in their growth, health, and learning. Help us provide children with nourishing, planet-friendly meals this summer by donating to our Summer Meals Fundraiser💚 Every dollar makes a difference. Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gDDFGmWW

  • June was a busy month at Support+Feed 🌈💚✊ From Juneteenth celebrations and Pride Month events to Father’s Day cookouts and farmers markets, we spent the month bringing communities together through nourishing plant-based meals, cooking demonstrations, food drives, wellness programming, and joyful gatherings across the country. In some of our key cities including Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, Virginia Beach, Detroit, NYC, and Altadena, we partnered with incredible organizations including Brown People Foundation, Women on the Rise, BeHR, Betances Health Center, the Ruth Ellis Center, and the Altadena Pride Celebration, alongside restaurant partners The Black Vegan, Breads on Oak, 1000 Figs, Flying Biscuit, and VSpot, to help make healthy, culturally relevant food more accessible in community spaces. Grateful to our partners, chefs, volunteers, and supporters who made these moments possible. Swipe through for a look back at some moments from June 💚🌱
