Through innovation and traditional knowledge, we can support access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food, while protecting the resources for future generations. #WorldFoodDay

In August 2026, a flash flood swept through northern Nepal, tearing through homes, farmland and businesses. Families fled with little warning. Across affected communities, people need new sources of income to pay rent, buy food, support their families and rebuild their lives. UNDP is working with the government to recover livelihoods, support debris management, restore local services and reduce future risks. https://go.undp.org/NFr
