Acting Secretary of the Army Adam Telle and Acting Chief of Staff Gen. Chris LaNeve recently spent time with Louisiana State University cadets -- who are among the first to join America's Corps of Cadets, a groundbreaking Secretary of War initiative that's expanding the officer commissioning pipeline. The Army leaders also spent time with cadets at the LSU vs. MSU game, and Gen. LaNeve had the honor of firing the pre-game cannon. Both leaders recognized retired Lt. Col. John Purdy for his 22 years of distinguished service and over two decades as LSU's head men's athletic trainer. Gen. LaNeve thanked LSU for its long and storied history contributing to the U.S. military, telling cadets "Now you all are part of that history."
