EDA is leading the way in helping American communities revitalize their economies following storms and other natural disasters. We work collaboratively with disaster-impacted communities to map out and implement long-term recovery plans and transform fragmented recovery efforts into cohesive, actionable strategies. Through EDA’s FY 2025 Disaster Supplemental Grant Program, we are providing $1.45 billion in funding to communities impacted by storms and other natural disasters in 2023 and 2024. In our latest blog post, you can learn how this program is benefiting communities in Western North Carolina and positioning the region to be a key manufacturing hub. EDA’s coordinated investments in infrastructure, economic development planning, and workforce development are helping the region to rebuild and reinvigorate the economy for exponential growth.
