V-Raven: ✔️ Combines the concept’s origins in loitering munitions with a returnable design that can conduct repeated missions ✔️ Carries an EO sensor for all-day surveillance, while interchangeable sensor packages can support automatic target tracking ✔️ Comes in two power configurations: petrol and electric The petrol variant can stay airborne for up to eight hours, cover 746 miles, cruise at 87 mph, and maintain communications with its base from up to 93 miles away. Meanwhile, the electric variant supports flights of up to 2 hours across a 155-mile range. Both variants have a 12-foot wingspan and MTOW of 143 pounds.

The Netherlands signed a contract worth roughly NOK1.5 billion with Kongsberg this week to expand its CITADEL air defence programme, Unmanned Airspace reported. The expansion adds further NOMADS systems to the programme — a national, missile-based layer built for fast, high-altitude threats: aircraft, cruise missiles, larger munitions. That is a different tier of problem than the one most airports, ports and utility sites face day to day. A national air defence system doesn't see a quadcopter loitering at 80 metres over a runway threshold, and it isn't meant to. That detection and response still has to happen locally, with RF sensors, radar and jamming or spoofing equipment sited where the threat actually appears. The lesson for infrastructure operators isn't "wait for national coverage." It's that national and site-level counter-drone layers solve different problems and need to be procured and tested separately, even when the same budget conversation covers both. Unveiled at DVD Event, the solution combines Leonardo's proven Falcon Shield ecosystem with a standard ISO container, allowing it to be transported and deployed wherever protection is needed. Designed for deployment by air, land and sea, Containerised Falcon Shield gives military and security customers the flexibility to establish counter drone protection quickly and adapt it to meet changing operational requirements. Indra unveils low cost squall cruise missile with 300 kilometer plus range for precision strikes Indra has unveiled the Squall cruise missile, a low-cost weapon designed for precision and saturation strikes. The missile has a range of more than 300 kilometres, adding a longer-range capability to Indra’s defence portfolio. The company also presented its Tarsis family of unmanned aircraft. The Drizzle system is designed to intercept drones and engage light targets at distances of up to 130 kilometres, while Tarsis can conduct tactical strikes and provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. Indra said these systems are designed to operate within a multilayered integrated air defence architecture and a combat cloud. The system is intended to improve decision-making, response speed, intelligence sharing and overall operational effectiveness. The company is also gradually adding artificial intelligence capabilities across its defence systems.
