Martin Blinder’s Post

The founder's journey is marked by highs and lows, and ebbs and flows. With so many factors and forces at play, just when you think you’ve finally got everything working, something new comes along to shake it all up. I absolutely love it. One thing I learned early on is that to have any chance at succeeding, you need to focus on controlling the controllables. Because trying to control anything else is futile. When we started Symbe, we knew right off the bat that there were three fundamental things within our control, where we would focus much of our obsessions: (1) Designing a great product (2) Hiring amazing people (3) Building the absolute best relationships with our customers We believed that if we got these three things right, everything else would naturally fall into place, regardless of the factors and forces the market threw at us… and in this market, there have been a lot!!  In the just over two years since launching Symbe, more than 2,500 companies globally have used our platform to build collaborative business cases, including Salesforce, Stripe, HubSpot, BMC Helix, monday.com, Singlestore, FICO and many more.   This Symbe team continues to push the boundaries of what a start-up can achieve, and I am proud and grateful to be a part of it. To supercharge our strong momentum, we raised $5.7M in April led by Kfund, with 4Founders Capital, SVV (Sure Valley Ventures), CircleRock Capital, Next Tier Ventures, Concept Ventures and Pact , alongside Notion Capital, who backed us early doors. We're using these funds to put 'value' at the core of every B2B sale (and purchase). Turning EVERY seller into a value-seller, not just the best ones. Oh and we have a shiny new website too! -> symbe.co

The room you’re never in is where I lost more deals than I’d like to admit as a founder. Symbe is the truest expression of solving one problem very well that I've seen as an investor. Delighted that SVV (Sure Valley Ventures) is part of this round and along for the ride! Congratulations Martin Blinder, Thomas Laurbjerg, Xavier Wilders and the whole team.

Massive Congrats Martin Blinder, Thomas Laurbjerg and team Symbe! You guys are solving a really critical pain point with a really fantastic product.

I remember when you were at customer 1. This is so refreshing to see!

Enhorabuena Martín. Espectacular!

Martin, the controllables framing is the part that stuck with us: a great product, amazing people, and the best possible relationships with customers. More than 2,500 companies using Symbe in just over two years suggests that focus compounds, and the $5.7M raise led by Kfund should only sharpen it. Congratulations to you and the whole team.

Interesting that the news came a good few months after the round closed. With 2,500 companies already building business cases on the platform, the customer story probably does more of the talking than the funding number anyway.

congrats Martin! putting "can't the team just use Claude?" right on the homepage as a real objection, then answering it with the comparison table, is a confident move. most launches avoid that question.
