Building offshore wind isn’t just about infrastructure. It’s about building understanding, trust and support. To build understanding, you have to understand the people your comms are talking to. Which is why our recent campaign in Rio Grande do Norte with Ocean Energy Pathway started with on-the-ground research, and featured the local people we met along the way. It worked, increasing support for offshore wind developments by 15 percentage points. Our MD, Jake Dubbins, recently shared the thinking and approach behind the campaign with a group of subnational governments in New York, unpacking how key learnings on how research-led, locally rooted communications can help tackle misinformation and build support for the energy transition. #NYCW

"Wind West." The wind is on Canada's east coast. So... why west? Turns out the name was never about the wind. It's about where the power is headed. We decoded the name, the numbers behind it ($60B, 5 GW by 2033, enough to power roughly a quarter of Canada's electricity needs), and why the framing matters for how Atlantic Canada shows up in this story — not just as the host of the turbines, but as the starting point of a much bigger grid. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gT5ufEgi #WindWest #ReimaginedEnergy #WindEnergy #RenewableEnergy

435 GW. Under one sea. That's the World Bank's estimate of the Black Sea's technical offshore wind potential. 269 GW fixed. 166 GW floating. How much of that potential will become actual capacity is another story. But 435 GW certainly puts the Black Sea on a different scale.
