We heard you loud and clear. ChatGPT Voice can now: - Use hundreds of plugins like your email, calendar, and Slack. - Be powered by GPT-6 Astra, Sol, and Luna. - Be used in ChatGPT Work on web and mobile, so you can create docs, decks, sites, and spreadsheets or tackle complex tasks in the browser, just by talking. Rolling out globally today in the latest version of the app.
For voice-driven work, I'd want the handoff back to the screen to be deliberate. “Draft a reply to Alex” should leave an inspectable draft with the recipient and thread visible, not just a spoken summary. Speaking is a low-friction way to express intent; checking names, dates and the exact wording is a different interaction. The product needs to make that transition easy.

This is probably the Voice update I’ve been waiting for. Being able to talk through a task while ChatGPT actually works across email, calendar, documents and the browser turns voice from a conversation interface into a real way to operate your workspace. I’m curious how quickly this changes the way people use AI day to day.
Voice plus email, calendar and Slack plugins turns voice from a Q&A feature into a way to actually get work done. The open question for me is the record: when a spoken request sends an email or books a meeting, what gets logged? For FSI firms with strict communication retention rules, that answer decides how fast this can roll out.
The bigger shift here isn’t voice. It’s the transition from prompting AI to delegating work. As Voice moves across applications, the critical question becomes how spoken intent is translated into authorized, verifiable actions. For enterprise adoption, that means defining execution boundaries, human approval thresholds, observable outcomes, and a clear record of what was actually done. The interface is becoming conversational. The operating model still needs to be accountable. That’s where this gets particularly interesting.
Actually, I value ChatGPT Voice more as a conversation buddy than just another AI tool. Really excited to see where this goes.
Hundreds of plugins, GPT-6, Work… and the vision for women still somehow lands in the kitchen, crafts and domestic life? 😅 Where are the women running teams, analysing data, managing businesses or making strategic decisions? Also: how many takes did it take to get Voice behaving that perfectly? 😄
The voice capabilities with GPT-6 Astra look incredibly powerful. Since I route NeonCore traffic through the OpenAI API specifically for its strict Zero Data Retention policy, I have one critical question. Do these new voice models carry the exact same zero-retention guarantee for enterprise API requests? OpenAI
Voice input will change how we interact with tech. Tonse of new use case will born. Sometimes even companies :)
