Made with AI: Labelling, Governance and Responsible Use Your team is probably already using AI to write copy, create images and support client work, but are you clear about when that content needs to be labelled? Since August 2026, EU rules mean businesses need to be clear about when content is AI-generated. If even a handful of your people use AI for marketing or client work, it applies to you. This masterclass gives you a plain-English guide to what the rules mean in practice and the simple steps required to get your business on the right footing. What you will walk away with: 👉 A clear picture of the EU AI Act labelling rules for images, video, audio and written content. 👉 An understanding of the difference between an AI policy and AI governance, and why you need both. 👉 Simple first steps for tracking AI use and labelling AI-generated content across your team. 👉 Practical examples, live demos and insight into how a global listed company built a policy its staff actually use. 📅 Tuesday, 27 October ⏰ 11:00-12:45 💻 Online via Zoom 🎟️ Registration link in the comments The Smart Regions AI Navigator programme is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-2027. #AI #GenAI #EUAIAct #ResponsibleAI #SmartRegions #euinmyregion #AINavigator #MadeWithAI PorterShed | GreentechHQ | Southern Regional Assembly | Enterprise Ireland

AI has long been a part of everyday work in many companies. But since August 2, 2026, a new question has come into play: When do we actually have to disclose that AI was used? 🤖 The transparency obligations of the EU AI Act are already in effect. Anyone developing or deploying AI systems can be affected, for instance, when systems interact directly with humans or when AI-generated content needs to be labeled. What this means for a specific use case, however, isn't always clear at first glance. Even your classification as a provider or deployer plays a key role. In the workshop “Using AI Transparently: Your AI Act Check for Everyday Work,” Alexander Machado from AppliedAI works directly with real-world AI use cases. Together, you’ll determine which transparency obligations apply in each scenario and how to correctly label AI-generated content. The best part? You won't be discussing the AI Act in abstract terms - you’ll be applying it to scenarios that likely mirror your own daily business operations. After 45 minutes, you’ll walk away with a practical checklist to use for future AI applications right within your team. How confidently could you answer today which transparency obligations applied to your team's last AI use case? 📍 October 28 · 12:00–12:45 PM · PINK ROOM · beyond economy Festival, Munich Language: English Take the AI Act check & secure your ticket: https://lnkd.in/eJYadrRX #beyondeconomy #beF26 #AIAct #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureSkills #Transformation

🤖 How far should AI go in government? As public administrations move from AI principles to implementation, the questions are becoming increasingly practical: Where should AI assist? Where may it automate? And what must remain under human responsibility and public authority? On 21 October, GovTech4All will launch the first edition of our Thematic Webinar Series with: Human Government in the Age of AI Where should AI assist, where may it automate, and how must public authority remain accountable? The 90-minute session will bring together public administrations, GovTech practitioners and innovators from across Europe to explore some of the decisions institutions are already facing: 🔹 How should governments decide whether AI is the right tool, and how far automation should go? 🔹 What makes human oversight meaningful rather than a procedural approval step? 🔹 What responsibility, authority and capability must remain within the public institution? 🔹 What should citizens be able to know, challenge and access when AI shapes a public service? Expect a moderated panel, audience Q&A and interactive exchange designed to compare experiences, surface different perspectives and identify where the key tensions remain. 📅 21 October 2026 🕙 10:00-11:30 CET 💻 Online 👉 Register link in the first comment #GovTech4All #GovTech #AI #DigitalGovernment #PublicInnovation #ResponsibleAI #PublicSectorInnovation

Does anyone outside your organisation interact with an AI system you provide? A chatbot, a support assistant, a screening tool, anything that answers. And does your product or your team publish anything an AI generated, whether that is text, images, audio, video or summaries? If either is yes, the EU AI Act's transparency duties already apply to you. They came into force on 2 August 2026. The first is a disclosure: people have to be told they are dealing with AI, unless it is obvious. The second is technical: the content has to carry a marking that software can detect. Neither is difficult, and most organisations can close both in a few days. But they do need to be in place: the delay you may have seen in the July headlines does not apply to these transparency obligations. If your organisation uses AI-facing customers or publishes AI-generated content, now is the time to check that both are covered. #EUAIAct #AICompliance

Our AI Center of Excellence, #MGLabs, keeps its finger on the pulse of how AI is evolving and what it means for the way we work. Earlier this month, Kelly Finneran and Sarah Nowak hosted an agencywide Lunch & Learn focused on pressure-testing #AI-generated content. They shared practical guidance on evaluating sources, verifying information through credible third-party research, and recognizing when an output needs a closer look. One of the biggest takeaways? AI can accelerate our work, but the critical thinking behind it still belongs to us. As PR and marketing professionals, our ability to question, validate, and contextualize information remains just as important as ever, no matter how sophisticated the technology becomes. To help our teams put those principles into practice, Kelly and Sarah broke down five essentials every communications professional should have in their AI training toolkit. Most public affairs teams are using AI, but important questions remain. What information is safe to share? Who checks the output? And what should responsible AI use look like in practice? Our brand-new summit, FutureProof.PA, will tackle these questions through hands-on labs and real-world examples. From writing advocacy copy with AI and determining what’s safe to share with AI tools to fact-checking synthetic content and navigating the EU AI Act, the focus is on putting AI into practice. And we'll end the day with one important question: What will you do differently when you return to work? Join us on Dec. 3 for FutureProof.PA! Register for Brussels (early-bird pricing through Nov. 3) or apply to attend in Washington, D.C.: https://lnkd.in/eKfSi_E7 #PublicAffairs #AI #FutureProofPA

Most publishers do not have an AI problem. They have an operations problem that AI is making easier to see. That was one of the central messages of my recent IBPA Publishing Bootcamp presentation, “Operational AI: Four Ways to Build a Smarter, More Efficient Publishing Operation.” We moved beyond prompts, content generation, and the pressure to adopt every new tool. Instead, we examined how publishers can use AI to reduce repetitive work, strengthen workflows, improve decision-making, and extend team capacity—without removing human judgment or accountability. Attendees told me they took pages of notes and requested the presentation slides. That response confirmed something important: Publishers are not simply looking for more AI tools. They need practical guidance for deciding where AI belongs, what information it can access, who reviews the output, and how its value will be measured. In my newest article, I explain why Operational AI must begin with the workflow—not the technology—and introduce the EARN Test: E — Existing problem A — Authorized inputs R — Reviewable and reversible output N — Named human owner Read the article: https://lnkd.in/eJNY_vup If you operate a publishing company, publishing-service business, or established author enterprise, the article also includes access to the Publisher Operational AI Readiness Scorecard. Those who complete the assessment by September 30 will receive the 30-Day Operational AI Pilot Planner. #OperationalAI #PublishingIndustry #IndependentPublishing #AIForBusiness #ArtificialIntelligence

There is a lot of pressure on companies right now to say yes to AI. But saying yes is the easy part. It gets much more complicated when you're operating across countries, navigating different regulations, handling sensitive data, and trying to figure out what responsible adoption actually looks like in practice. I'm excited to continue this conversation with Farrah Meisel Toobin, Chief of Staff at BowerGroup Asia, and Karen King, Founder & CEO of Fronterra Global Advisory, in NYC on September 28th: "Yes, But:" What Saying Yes to AI Actually Requires in International Business We’ll talk about what happens when the push to adopt AI meets the realities of international business. And I wanted people who come to leave with something they can actually use. So I created “Could Your AI Pass the 6-Question Test?”, a practical Responsible AI check you can run against a real AI use case in your organization. Six questions. The real test is whether you can answer each one with evidence, not assumptions. Everyone attending will get a copy to take back and use with their teams. If you're in NYC and working through these questions, come join us. 📅 September 28 | 6:00–8:00 PM 📍 Chief NYC | 13 E. 19th Street Registration link in the comments. Proud to have OWIT-NY supporting the conversation, sponsored by BowerGroupAsia.

AI becomes much more powerful when it is part of the workflow rather than another tool sitting beside it. That is the idea behind British Noble. Our AI publishing platform brings intelligence and automation into the processes that sit between manuscript and finished publication. From editing and proofreading to manuscript refinement, formatting, design and production, British Noble helps publishing houses apply AI where it can create meaningful operational value. Some workflows need automation. Some need intelligent assistance. Some still depend entirely on human judgment. The point is not to automate everything. The point is to put AI where it improves the workflow, increases capacity and helps teams produce better publishing output. That is what AI-native publishing looks like in practice.
