In mental health, a promising idea isn’t enough. That’s why we took the next step: evaluating Savyn through scientific research in partnership with SickKids Research Institute and the University of Toronto. This work helps us better understand the approach, its impact, and where we can continue improving. Because building responsibly means staying curious, asking difficult questions, and letting evidence guide the way. #MentalHealthResearch #EMDR #HealthTech #MentalHealthSupport #MentalHealth #TraumaInformed #TraumaRecovery #Wellbeing #HealthcareInnovation #MentalWellness #muslimfounder

The conversations at Psych Congress 2026 reflected both the progress being made in mental health care and the significant work that remains ahead. As we connected with clinicians, researchers, advocates, and other leaders across the field, three themes stood out: · The need for better mental health treatment options remains urgent. · Psychedelic research and investigational treatments remained a major topic of discussion, with conversations spanning evidence generation, clinician education, implementation, and patient access. · Meaningful progress will require continued collaboration across the mental health ecosystem. We're grateful to everyone who shared insights and perspectives throughout the conference, and look forward to continuing these important conversations. In digital mental health, evidence matters just as much as innovation. A promising intervention needs research that can withstand questions about what caused the change, how outcomes were measured, and whether the results can be attributed to the intervention itself. We’re sharing the thinking behind Savyn’s research so you can see how the evidence was built. #MentalHealthResearch #ResearchEthics #EMDR #HealthTech #MentalHealthSupport #MentalHealth #TraumaInformed #TraumaRecovery #Wellbeing #HealthcareInnovation #MentalWellness #muslimfounder

Screens are everywhere, and if you’re a caregiver or guardian, you’re not imagining how hard it can be to set boundaries without constant pushback. Healthy tech habits aren’t about taking devices away. They’re about connection, communication, and helping kids build balance over time. Our Growing Up Connected: Guiding Youth Towards Healthy Tech Habits webinar focuses on practical, realistic ways you can support screen use that protects mental health while still honoring how kids learn, socialize, and unwind today. Small shifts can make a meaningful difference. When kids feel supported instead of controlled, they’re more likely to build habits that last. #GrowingUpConnected #HealthyTechHabits #CaregiversAndGuardians #YouthMentalHealth #ScreenTimeBalance #CamberMentalHealth

As Queensland Mental Health Week comes to a close, we’re finishing our series with our Director, Associate Professor Nicola Warren. Coincidentally, Nicola chose the same paper as Dr Sharna Mathieu, with both reflecting on the value of co-design and the importance of bringing lived experience into research and care. We think that says something pretty special about this research led by Dr Kylie Matthews-Rensch, and the way its focus on lived experience and co-design has resonated with our team. The same piece of research can spark hope in different ways, and often the strongest work is shaped by many perspectives. It also feels like a fitting way to finish a week centred on Build Community. Build Wellbeing. 🔗 Paper: https://lnkd.in/gQpQDq35 Thanks for following along as we shared the research giving our team hope. #QMHW2026 #QueenslandMentalHealthWeek #MentalHealthResearch.

Today is World Mental Health Day. I’d like to talk about what happens the other 364 days of the year. As a mental health professional involved directly in both patient facing care and leadership, I see two sides of the coin. Patients either wait weeks for a first appointment, cycle through treatments that don’t fit, or never make it through the door because of cost, stigma, or geography. And the clinicians holding that system together are often running on empty themselves. Awareness matters, but access is what changes outcomes. For organizations, especially those of us in mental health, supporting our teams has to be more than a wellness webinar or a free app subscription. It looks like: → Caseloads and schedules that leave room for recovery between difficult sessions → Leaders who talk openly about and prioritize their own mental health → Benefits that cover real care, including newer evidence-based options, not just the cheapest network → Supervision and consultation meetings that are protected time, not squeezed in during lunch hours. We can’t ask clinicians to model sustainable care while working in unsustainable systems. I am committed to building workplaces where the people providing care can stay well enough to keep doing it. What’s one change your organization has made that actually helped your team’s mental health? #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealth #ClinicianWellbeing

Social media and mental health: what does the evidence actually say? The debate has become increasingly polarised. Is social media driving the youth mental-health crisis? Or are concerns about its impact overstated? The evidence suggests something more nuanced — and more important. Our new Cormonity article examines the latest research on social media and mental health, including: • Problematic versus simply heavy social media use • Sleep disruption and social comparison • Cyberbullying and online harassment • Why some young people are more vulnerable • The potential benefits of connection and community • What the research tells us about causation • What parents, educators and communities can do • And perhaps most importantly — how digital environments themselves can influence behaviour and wellbeing The evidence doesn't support the idea that all social media is harmful. But neither does it support the idea that the digital environment is neutral. The way technology is designed matters. If we want healthier online communities, perhaps the question shouldn't simply be: “How do we get young people off social media?” It should also be: “How do we build digital spaces that are healthier to participate in?” We explore the evidence — and what it means for the future of online communities — in our latest article. 📖 Read: Social Media and Mental Health: What the Evidence Says https://lnkd.in/giimvXJX #Cormonity #YouthMentalHealth #SocialMedia #DigitalWellbeing #OnlineSafety #HealthyTechnology #DigitalCommunities #MentalHealth #EdTech
