Shoplazza announced that it is working with TikTok to support new agentic commerce experiences designed to shorten the journey from product discovery to purchase. The collaboration aims to help merchants convert consumer interest generated through content and advertising into completed transactions by reducing friction in the online shopping process. The collaboration supports TikTok’s Buy Direct and Shopping Assistant features, introduced on October 5, 2026. Buy Direct enables consumers to purchase products directly from brands within TikTok without being redirected to an external storefront, using the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) to connect with merchant systems. Shopping Assistant answers product-related questions using merchant-provided information, allowing shoppers to explore product details before completing checkout on the merchant’s website within TikTok’s in-app browser. Chao Xu, Director at Shoplazza, said, “As platforms automate more decisions, performance increasingly depends on how well data, creative and checkout work together.” He highlighted the potential for TikTok’s shopping experiences to help merchants convert customer interest while using transaction data to inform more effective marketing decisions. #Shoplazza #TikTok #AgenticCommerce #SocialCommerce #ArtificialIntelligence #Ecommerce #DigitalMarketing #OnlineShopping #RetailTechnology #CustomerExperience

TikTok has introduced two new features that expand the e-commerce and retail shopping experience. While the platform makes it easier for users to discover products with its AI-powered Shopping Assistant, it also enables purchases directly from brands through the For You feed with the one-click payment system announced as “Buy Direct.” The features were reported to have initially been made available to users and brands in the United States. The system can understand the context of the user’s conversation and remember preferences and needs stated during shopping. The assistant, which provides real-time information about product features, delivery, size options, and stock availability, can also help complete the purchase. The way the world shops has fundamentally changed, and the numbers don't lie. 🚀 Global platforms like TikTok Shop crossed massive milestones (hitting over $64B+ in GMV), and industry giants like Amazon are actively partnering with video powerhouses like YouTube to embed shopping directly into content. Why? Because Video Commerce isn’t just a "trend"—it is the present and future of retail. Here is why this shift is unstoppable: 1️⃣ Zero Friction Discovery: Consumers no longer want to search; they want to be inspired and buy instantly within the same screen. 2️⃣ The Power of Trust & Creators: Recommendations from trusted creators through engaging video outconvert traditional ads every single day. 3️⃣ Entertainment Meets Intent: Blending storytelling with seamless in-app checkout creates an impulse-to-purchase loop that traditional e-commerce simply cannot match. At Oberry, we are closely watching and building around these exact shifts, helping brands navigate the future of digital commerce where content, community, and conversion converge. Are your products where your customers' eyes are? Let’s discuss in the comments! 👇 #SocialCommerce #VideoShopping #Ecommerce #DigitalMarketing #Oberry #FutureOfRetail #Innovation

The next competition on TikTok Shop may not be about who gets the most views. It may be about who makes buying easier. TikTok is introducing AI-powered shopping experiences designed to help consumers discover products and move towards a purchase without leaving the platform. That matters because the distance between seeing something and deciding to buy it is part of the shopping experience. Think about the usual journey. You see a product in a video. You want to know whether it suits your needs. You look for more information, compare alternatives and decide whether it’s worth the money. Every extra step creates another opportunity to lose the customer. AI-powered discovery could help shorten that journey by making product exploration more conversational and convenient. But there’s a catch for brands. Making a product easier to find doesn’t automatically make it the right choice. Your product information still needs to be clear. Your positioning needs to make sense. Your content needs to explain what makes the product relevant to the customer. And the experience after discovery needs to deliver on the promise. That’s why I wouldn’t look at AI shopping simply as another technology update. I would look at it as a reason to examine the entire path from discovery to purchase. Are you helping customers understand your product? Are you making the next step clear? And when someone is ready to buy, have you given them enough reason to choose you? The easier it becomes to shop, the more important it becomes to give people a reason to choose your product. #SocialCommerce #TikTokShop #AICommerce #Ecommerce #MarketIntelligence

So... Agentic commerce is getting a bit harder to keep in one box. TikTok is building a Shopping Assistant that can answer questions about a product, remember what someone needs and help them choose. Then Buy Direct takes them from the For You feed to a purchase without leaving TikTok. The obvious upside for merchants is less friction between someone discovering a product and buying it. But there’s an awkward bit too. If the discovery, advice and checkout all happen inside somebody else’s platform, how much of that customer journey do you actually understand? Did the assistant describe the product properly? What data comes back? How does the sale appear in your reporting? And how do you turn that first purchase into a direct customer relationship? I don’t think the answer is to avoid these channels. But counting the orders won’t be enough. We’ve spent years improving the journey through an ecommerce website. Increasingly, part of that journey may not reach the website at all. Maybe that fluffy "Reach" metric will start becoming less fluffy as we try to hold onto some visibility vs sales. #ecommerce #retail #sales #D2C

TikTok is quietly turning the scroll into a checkout. At Advertising Week New York, TikTok just unveiled its new Shopping Assistant. A shopper can ask: “Does this come in my size?” “Is it available?” “When will it arrive?” And then buy. Inside the same conversation. That changes ecommerce again. The customer journey is compressing from: Discovery → Search → Storefront → Checkout to: Discovery → Conversation → Purchase. For sellers, that makes the infrastructure underneath even more important. If an AI agent is answering questions about your product, your: catalog, pricing, inventory and fulfillment data need to be right in real time. Because the next shopper may never browse your store. They may simply ask TikTok what to buy. At Sellenvo, that’s exactly why we believe commerce needs one reliable operating layer underneath every channel. The storefront keeps disappearing. The operation can’t. #AgenticCommerce #TikTokShop #Ecommerce #AIShopping #ProductData #MultichannelCommerce #RetailTech #Sellenvo
